Happy Tuesday, everyone! The sun is out, the lilacs are blooming, the grass is green, and I am totally in my happy place with the wonderful springiness of it all 🦋🌸☀️ This weekend, we had Stake Conference for our stake. It is always great to hear our stake leaders and members give talks on inspired topics. I especially loved hearing from the temple president and his wife. One of my favorite thoughts was that every time we go to the temple, we leave a better person. I hope everyone is having a super week and enjoying this beautiful weather! (Side note: I’ve had some questions regarding my church note-taking. I almost always use a Micron 05 pen—my favorite—and the notes are generally complete at the end of Sacrament Meeting. I just write as I go. My years doodling in school have finally paid off😂🙌)
Happy Tuesday everyone! I’m just planning my dream home and came across these beautiful and simplistic garage doors from @codyoverheaddoor 👌🏼 They have every style of door imaginable... and you can never got wrong with a classic! 😍
So the problem with taking so many photos is organization. But here are a few from Wyoming to Washington.
Cody, WY had a lot of rich history, so I stayed a few days. I was at a cafe in town and talked to a local native who shared with me much about his knowledge. He recommended visiting the Buffalo Bill museum. There was a section about the town’s founder William Cody, pretty amazing to learn about his accomplishments.
The first two photos are while I was heading further West after visiting.
Later, I eventually made my way to Hoodsport, WA where I saw an old powerhouse. Right then and there I knew I wanted to learn more. So the next day I stopped by again to ask for a tour, scheduled it, and here is what I witnessed. I really dig the design and construction. .
Have you ever wondered what the method is that Nelson Log Restoration uses to restore your log structure?
The process we use guides us through the entire scope of restoring your home.
Our steps are:
1. To remove any failed caulking or chinking.
2. Media blast the existing stain off.
3. Saturate your logs with Penetreat rot preventative.
4. Repair any found rot.
5. Apply 2 coats of Capture stain.
6. Apply one coat of Cascade clear coat.
7. Fill any log checks with Conceal.
8. And lastly, re-chink your entire home!
It is a lot of steps but by the time we’re done, we’ve seen every square inch of the exterior of your home and every single detail has been taken care of.
We are quickly filling our calendar for the summer of 2018, but if you are itching to get your log home restored this year, give NLR a call at (307)899-2146. We will be happy to answer any concerns or questions you have.
Located in Cody, Wyoming but more than willing to travel for any job.
A spur of the moment trip to Cody, WY led to a visit with the Carmelites for a Pentecost Solemn High Mass of the Carmelite Rite and the rare opportunity to visit their monastery in the works, a project of heroic proportions considering that they’re designing it under the traditional Gothic style. #mysticmonkcoffee#carmelites#codywyoming#roadtripbrotrip
