I asked Sancha what this mountain’s name was... he laughed and said “this is not a mountain, it is only a hill”. I am so thankful for @budmartin and Sancha’s patience with my ignorance and touristy ways.
V-Pulls! An alternate from Archer Pull Ups. This exercise can help work on
a) a progression to Archer Pull Ups
b) lock off training
c) single arm pull ups.
Start with a wide grip, and try to keep a strong hold at the top of the movement. Think of your nose as writing the "V" in the air.
Always maintain control. Slow and steady is safe. Don't make jerky movements just to complete the motion, that's how you open yourself up for injury!
Perform at your own risk!
Today was probably the most exercise I’ve ever done in one day 😂 Did a quick 2 mile run after work and then went straight to Minneapolis Bouldering Project for yoga and bouldering ✌️ So many calories burned 🔥 #climbon#yogaon#strengthtraining
In 1987 Walt Shipley (RIP) and I broke the speed record set by Mugs Stump on Fitzroy’s classic Super Couloir (I think we climbed from the bergschrund to the summit in 14 hours). Weeks earlier we had climbed Cerro Torre, which as a young climber was my ultimate goal. However, unlike Cerro Torre, the Super Couloir didn’t have much fixed gear. In fact, I remember seeing two fixed pins on the whole route, making it way more satisfying than Cerro Torre with all its fixed swag. #alpine#climbing#patagonia @metoliusclimbing
Liming chews your body up and spits it in the dirt so I'm taking a brief intermission to check out the gorgeous limestone sport climbing of Shigu. Pretty stoked for a light pack and flowing movement after so much thrutching!
Throwback 📸 by @robertosanderito from Chiang Mai earlier this year!
Tonight was bittersweet. It’s the last day that our current climbing gym is open before the new gym opens on Saturday. I couldn’t be more excited for the new gym, but at the same time, it’s hard to say goodbye to my climbing home from the past few years. Thanks to the Hoosier Heights community for making this such an amazing place to climb! And I look forward to all the adventures we’ll have at the new gym 🧗🏼♀️
quick V4 on a fun little inverted part of the wall. haven't been climbing much lately cause #adulting so sorry for the lack of posts these days 😭😭 it's really thwarted my climbing goals for this year but hopefully there's time to make up for it soon 👍
Day 5 with athlete @jonathansiegrist in Spain! Here is his good buddy and local, Paco, enjoying the sun and climbing ‘Malasombra’ 13a at Espadellas, Margalef. The routes at this cliff have been incredibly fun, super powerful moves on pockets— pretty painful on your skin! Thankfully #climbOn products serve to heal. 🤘🏼 That’s a wrap! 💫 Hope everyone is having a great week so far!
