I love to be able to stay cool with different types of tea like green tea and also fruit ones too. However Starbucks does some amazing ones however they are full of sugar. 
Recent i have been on a major quest of reducing refined sugar and go down the natural root.

I have some amazing recipes for Ice tea thats tastes amazing and also doesn't have no refined sugar thats still tastes amazing. Comment below for some recipes and will love to share some with you.

If u have been to Saudi or the Middle East, u would definitely have come across this desert. Basbousa, is a traditional Egyptian sweet cake made with semolina. Coconut is added to the batter and the hot cake is then soaked in a rose or orange blossom sugar syrup. Very traditional for Arabs, it is served regularly with qahwa (strong bitter Arabic coffee). This is my play on the basbousa. Of cos, it cannot be compared to its original high calorie version but this one is pretty decent as a low carb gluten-free treat. 
Food prepping for the week like a boss this morning before we take the boys out. Prepped: โœ” protein powder burger buns
โœ” Seed loaf
โœ” Beef mince  meatball mix baked into a cottage pie base - meatballs and cutlets
โœ” Basbousa for breaking fast treat

I was at my gfโ€™s house the other night and she pulled out this $1200 juicer and after about a half an hour of prep and the actual process, she finally finished making carrot juice. She made about a cup and then it was gone in a flash !!

I couldnโ€™t stand it ... what a time sucker!! I use a powdered greens and not only am I getting greens but Iโ€™m getting yellows, blues and reds to boot. Thatโ€™s good enough for me and it takes about a minute to mix. What do you use ??

Walnut Chia Slice:
Ingredients
1 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup walnuts
1/3 cup almonds
1/8 cup chia seeds
1 tsp cinnamon
2 Tbsp cacao powder
1 tsp organic vanilla extract
1 Tbsp @waihibush chia seed oil
1 cup dates
1/3 cup sultanas 
1/2 cup shredded coconut
1 1/2 Tbsp melted @Purecoco coconut oil
1 Tbsp organic maple syrup

Directions
Use a food processor, add all the ingredients into the food processor except the dates. process until quite finely chopped
With motor still running add dates a few at a time until all used and mixture comes together. Add 1-2 Tbsp of water at the end. Needs to be quite sticky.
Press into a lined cake tin and place in the fridge to set
Cut into 5x5 cm squares

1 tsp @matchamatchanz matcha powder
1 Tbsp. @purecocoltd extra virgin coconut oil
1 Tbsp. coconut nectar syrup
ยผ cup chopped shelled pistachio nuts for coating

Place the nuts, shredded coconut and matcha powder into a food processor and process until you create a fine crumb.

Add in the coconut oil and coconut nectar syrup and blend until the mixture starts to come together. It should be sticky enough to hold together.

Remove the blade and take a small handful of the mixture and roll into balls.

Roll your bliss balls in your chopped pistachio mixture or in some matcha powder
Place in the fridge to set and store in the refrigerator in an airtight container.

I am blessed enough that i dont often have to bring work home. I work from 8-3 most days and wen i do work till 5 its regarded as late. I then explain that to the boys so they know wot to expect. It takes me less than 5 mins to get home and i have the rest of the day to do wot i like. I have no illusions about this, cos there is no way id b able to have that being back in South Africa. 
Our home is always filled with toys everywhere...i am honestly not concerned with our home looking like a playground. Our kids only have this space since they cant play outdoors often and therefore they LIVE in our home. 
In the 5 years before we had kids, everything had its place. I hung towels in a certain way. My cupboards were "packed" and there was order. Now, i dont waste time on things like that lol. 
This weekend however i do have to work. I lecture 4 courses and for each, i have to compile exams + resits and makeups. I am just in no mood to get out of the boys' bed, as this is where i start my weekend mornings off. 
At 6am Abdul-Jabbar wanted breakfast. His request was a chicken burger. Nawaaz wakes up 2 hours later and his request is avo. Using last nights left overs, i grilled the left over quesadillas in the panini press and added some baby cucumbers - baby tomato - avo and the last of the tahini sauce. Rocking my food prep to the max ๐Ÿค˜

Ingredient tip for the day: ๐Ÿฅ‘๐Ÿฅ‘๐Ÿฅ‘ These r amazing to add your daily menu. They r filled with good fats and they r super nutritious. U can use it instead of mayo and it makes a great add in to egg salad - tuna salad or even chicken salad. These would b great to add to your suhoor (pre-fasting meal). With some coconut milk u can make them into smoothies and with some thick cream u can make icecream. Sprinkle with some chia seeds or poppy seeds, eat them as a snack. Add some garlic - lemon juice and make a guacomole dip.  Wishing u all a fabulous Friday ๐Ÿ’

Try my Macadamia chocolate chip cookies! These are gluten and wheat free! Using @forty__thieves salted macadamia maple and vanilla bean spread! These are so good!

Macadamia chocolate chip cookies:
1/2 cup @waihibush coconut flour 
1/4 cup tapioca flour 
1 tsp baking powder 
1 egg plus 1 egg yolk
2 Tbsp @purecocoltd coconut sugar 
2 Tbsp coconut nectar syrup 
3 Tbsp @forty__thieves macadamia vanilla maple butter 
1/3 cup coconut butter - melted
1 tsp pure @heilalavanilla vanilla extract 
1/3 cup chopped macadamia nuts 
1/4 cup chopped dark chocolate 
Add eggs, coconut sugar, pure vanilla extract and mix until creamy. 
Add in melted coconut butter and macadamia butter
In a separate add dry ingredients and combine
Add dry ingredients into wet ingredients and mix 
Add in chopped macadamia nuts and chocolate and combine 
Add spoonful of the mixture onto a lined baking tray 
Press down with a folk
Place in a pre heated oven 180 degrees for 10min 
Place on a cooling rack once finished 
Enjoy x

Me morรญa por probar las salsas de @makeoutcolombia , comprรฉ el pesto y no se imaginan la delicia ๐Ÿคฉ๐ŸŒฟ!! Hice una especie de bowl con arroz integral y quinoa, champiรฑones, espรกrragos, zucchini, broccoli, tomaticos cherry y pollo en cubitos. Muy fรกcil de hacer (cocinan el pollo en cubitos en un sartรฉn con un poquitico de mostaza dijon, cocinan los vegetales aparte y luego mezclan con el pollo, agregan el arroz y enseguida el pesto, yo le puse un chorrito de agua para que se pusiera medio rissotto y revolvรญ todo muy bien, al final puse tomaticos cherry y unas hojitas de espinaca) me encantooo ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜‹, el pesto le da un toque demasiado increรญble!!

Hice una especie de bowl con arroz integral y quinoa, champiรฑones, espรกrragos, zucchini, broccoli, tomaticos cherry y pollo en cubitos.
