Fry-day came a day early 🙌🏼🍟🍔😍 Post-yoga paleo turkey burgers + chili spiced sweet potato fries drizzled with bae’s fave chipotle sauce!
1 lb organkc ground turkey
1/4 onion, chopped
1/4 bell pepper, chopped
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon @primalpalate bae seasoning
½ teaspoon garlic
Chili flakes + s + p
1 egg (I used organic pasture raised)
Mix in all ingredients. Form into patties. Bake at 400 for 15 minutes.
Enjoy with sweet potatoes fries (spray with @chosenfoods avocado oil, chili powder. Bake at 425 for 30 min. Flipping half way through) + the best chipotle sauuucy sauce (1/4 cup cashews, 1 small container @siggisdairy plain yogurt, 3 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, 1 teaspoon chili powder + 1 teaspoon honey + water. Blend in a @vitamix. Add small amounts of water until desired consistency! Enjoy with avo @organicgirk spinach and @organicgirl white cheddar ranch dressing and microgreens 🙌🏼🍃🍔

One of those grass-fed beauties I grilled up last week actually made it to a plate. I must admit this doesn’t happen often. We usually eat right off the board. It’s much more fun, no dishes And... I hate cutting steak on a plate ! It’s like fingernails on a chalkboard. Funny, it doesn’t bother me at a restaurant. Maybe because it’s not my nice knife being ruined, lol. Anybody with me ?... You can’t convince me that bananas and PB aren’t a match made in heaven 🍌❤️ heat them up a bit, and dress up with pecans and yogurt, and you’ve basically got a banana split, and eating this, I do not miss the “real” thing 🍦 AT ALL 🤤
I went on a field trip today to Chicago where we visited the Art Institute and Millenium Park, ate yummy food, took Polaroid pictures, questioned abstract art, and played so much Heads Up on the bus that our cheeks hurt from laughing 😂🏙 The weather literally could not have been more perfect, I got to go with an amazing group of friends, and it was just such a welcome break from the routine after the craziness that was last week. Now I’ve got a 3-day weekend and I feel so happyyy 🤗 Hope you all had a wonderful Thursday as well!
I’ve loved to bake as long as I can remember and in the past I’ve just put that on hold when I was trying to eat healthier. But this time around I’ve tried to incorporate my love into my healthier lifestyle with just healthier recipes. Right now that means more paleo treats made with ingredients like nut butters, coconut sugar, and almond or coconut flour and less refined sugar and all purpose flour. That’s not to say it’s just a paleo-treat-apolooza over here, it’s still a balancing act to get all the greens and healthiness in every day so I can feel good indulging once and awhile. Balance, people, balance. This was my foray this week, @fitmittenkitchen paleo banana chocolate chip skillet cake. So good with a really moist crumb and lots of loft! Best served warmed with a melty drizzle of @crazyrichardspb. You won’t be sorry.

If you want to accomplish anything BIG, you need to start SMALL! The same goes for weight loss and fitness. If you want to get results and jump full force into a diet where you can’t have anything bad or hour-long exercises 6-7 days a week, you’re probably going to get discouraged, fizzle out, feel like a failure and gain any weight you lose back.
I talk with women all the time who aren’t where they want to be but don’t know how to get there, and they’ve trie everything under the sun, but they just don’t stick with it. Because it wasn’t the right program or nutrition plan for them, because it didn’t fit conveniently into their life like what I do does, and they didn’t have support, accountability and coaching on the tough, unmotivated, busy days that inevitably come.
In order for results to come and STAY, you can make HEALTHY a lifestyle, not something you do here and there. But before you can make it a lifestyle, let’s just have you make it a week! 👊🏻

this is random buuuut quick training update: the half marathon is 10 dayz away & I’m feeling SUPER ready for it💃🏻 my hip has been feeling weird this week so I’ve been taking it easy & listening to my body. after the achilles incident, I’m being extra careful. so today I just did a cross training workout: 20 min on the elliptical & an arm/back/chest workout that took ~45min.. just what I needed🤗 anywaysss I hope you all are having a super fantastic day!💓
