Is there anything better than a steaming bowl of soup on a cold night? Feeling the ❤️ with this Asian chicken, cabbage and noodle soup 🍜 I used Slendier noodles, which are made from Konjac (an Asian vegetable) and are virtually carb free. They’re available in the health food isle at most supermarkets.
To make the soup: roughly chop 2 carrots and about 2 inches of ginger, then throw in a deep pot with 1/2 bunch thinly sliced spring onions (pale ends only) and 3-4 cloves of unpeeled garlic (bash with the back of your knife first.) Rinse a medium whole chicken in water inside and out, then place on top of veg. Fill pot with water till just covering the chicken and add 1 tbsp of sea salt. Bring to the boil, then simmer for around 90 minutes (skimming the surface of any scum.) When done, remove the chicken to cool, and strain stock into a clean pot (discard the veg.) When cool enough, shred the chicken and return to stock with 1/2 a shredded Chinese cabbage. Simmer for 5 minutes. Meanwhile, drain the noodles and soak in hot water for a few minutes, then add to soup.
Whilst heating whisk 3eggs with 2 teaspoons of fish sauce and then fry in peanut oil till an omelette forms. Flip and cook on other side, remove and slice into strips.
Serve soup with egg strips, extra sliced spring onions, a drizzle of soy sauce and sesame oil. So good!
Mencoba 닭한마리(dakhanmari) di sebuah jalan di area gangnam bagian jamsil.
Since samgyetang is a whole chicken with a lot more complex ingredients. Dan di korsel (bcs ive never been to north) setiap makanan yg ada kuahnya begini setiap akhir makan selalu dibuat nasi goreng atau mi goreng suka2 kamu aja. Mau itu sisa kuah tokpoki ato sup ayam begini. Efisiensi. Luar biasa. Bagaimana rasanya? I dont know. I have no idea. Sungguh informatif.
Arrgghhh ... sick kids. Every parents nightmare.
Mine have been dosed up on homemade chicken soup, V8 juice, vitamin C, loads of water and they've gone through more than their fare share of tissues which has seen them bounce back in record time!
Lucky I can still be relatively normal and work from home!
What are your remedies for coughs & colds?

Well im off to smash my 3rd bowl of healthy goodness with every thing in it to fight the cold winter blues.
A nourishing dang gui chicken soup for a dear friend, who is a new Mama. She gave birth last week, and after all of the beautiful Love swells, then the nourishment must follow. Dang Gui (Angelica) builds and nourishes the Qi and blood, boosting energy and preventing more blood lost after birth. Many people refer to dang qui as the “women’s herb,” since it is so healing for our cycles and focuses on supporting the yin energy. Several other Qi and blood tonics are included in this amazing healing soup including Huang Qi (astragalus), which helps generate fluids and rebuild energy, gou qi zi (goji berry), which nourishes the blood and yin, vital for Mama who thrives on healthy yin energy during this time of her life. There are also three herbs known as the “3 sisters,” Sheng Jiang (ginger root), Gan Cao (licorice), and da zao (jujube) which are primarily digestive energy tonics, and harmonizing. All of these gorgeous herbs combine with organic sweet potatoes, onion, cilantro, carrots, celery, and responsibly raised chicken (lentils are a great vegetarian option) to create a soup that will help revitalize Mama, and therefore, revitalize Baby!
