The gym is closed (for 10 days!!! 😡), so garage work out it is. 😊 I’m very lucky to have a pretty cushty setup include a bag, bar, rack and bench, that I really don’t use enough, but it’s especially useful for the gym is closed or I just don’t have time to go.

I've had laundry sitting in the dryer collecting wrinkles for at least 3 days, those dishes by the sink keep stacking up because I haven't unloaded the clean dishes from the dishwasher yet, and there's a whole slew of things whirring in my brain that I could get done for work. 😅🙅🏼‍♀️ BUT instead, I pushed play on day 3 of 80. I made a promise to myself, and I couldn't fail on day 3!! So here's to showing up for myself every day. My workout is my time to de-stress and think. It's my therapy and my sanity...especially on days like today!!! 👊💣💥💜

Horizontal tricep extension and vertical tricep extension -hope that’s the right name for these exercises lolz- (EACH ARM: 14 reps 2X, 20 reps on half the weight of the first two sets 1X)

Then of course anti-boredom elliptical workout!!!

I had to take breaks & I even broke down and cried during this very exercise 👇🏼 Today? I did zero modifications, took no extra breaks during the HIIT & I did all 20 freaking reps (2 sets of 10) of these cross over teasers without taking a break!!!! Today......I sat in my workout space feeling just ugh. That’s the best way I can describe it. One of those days where i wanted to go back to bed instead of workout. I was procrastinating and playing on my phone, looking at notifications, seeing all the girls in my Bootcamp posting their workouts and checking in. 
See, being an overweight kid, I didn’t have those friendships. I didn’t have that camaraderie. I didn’t have people showing up for ME!  Checking in on me. Making sure I stayed on track.

They are the reason for today’s workout. When I started my journey from rock bottom at 220 lbs, I did it by myself. Today was a reminder that I don’t have to do it by myself. I have this awesome group of friends that care whether or not I show up. 
I started my Bootcamp 2 1/2 years ago driven by fitness but now it runs strong on friendships ❤️ So thankful for my girls, you know who you are 😘

R2D3 is Cardio Core. And there is no #moveoftheday - you just get to see what it does to me 🤣 Today was 3 minutes of cardio, followed by a Core move.  My favorite thing about my workouts? I didn't have to search online to put them together.  I have a trainer who tells me exactly what moves to do, in 22-60 minutes, to get the best results.  They even tell me what foods to eat when for the best results! R2D3 is Cardio Core. And there is no #moveoftheday  - you just get to see what it does to me 🤣 Today was 3 minutes of cardio, followed by a Core move. My favorite thing about my workouts? I didn't have to search online to put them together. I have a trainer who tells me exactly what moves to do, in 22-60 minutes, to get the best results. They even tell me what foods to eat when for the best results! Had a grueling afternoon workout sesh. I was in a grouchy mood, TBH. (lol) I’m glad I stuck to my plan and showed up to the gym. It really did turn my frown upside down. 🙃

I’ve been dealing with tendinitis in my right arm for over a year now. It’s not healed, and it often aches. I’m really not sure what to do since I went to physical therapy already. I also had a steroid injection put in last year, but from what I’ve read, it’s not really advisable because it doesn’t help heal the injury, it only reduces the inflammation and the pain. I’m kind of lost because I know that if I go back to the doctor to ask for help, she’s just going to tell me to stop boxing and not offer any meaningful alternatives. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thankfully I’ve cut back significantly on taking ibuprofen. Either the pain has subsided or I’ve learned to deal with it. Either way, I’m sure my liver will thank me.
