What a short trip back home. Yesterday I watched my nephew graduate pre-k 😭 .
I am so thankful for my co workers for covering so I could make it down. It’s hard when your not around all the time to be apart of all the things but I try to when I can. Yesterday was bitter sweet 😊 this kid is off to kindergarten. I love you Wyatt! .
Headed home now to see my babies and finish our 3 day weekend! 🙌🏻😍
What Saturdays are all about! Except daddy was missing coz he is working 😢! Bobby didn’t fancy having a pic but honestly he is there in the background 🤪 Kids loved duck 🦆 duck 🦆 goose!!!... was all good until Archie dropped all the 🍿 sad times lol!!
This kid @pianoabl16 . He's playing in his annual recital today at Indiana University in Bloomington. .
If you don't know his story, let me just brag on him for a hot second. When he was 13 he wanted to learn piano, but we couldn't afford lessons. His dad told him, if you want to learn piano, just start playing piano. If there's one thing about Andrew, it's that he can do anything he sets his mind to. .
He taught himself to play piano, plugging away at it daily for year-and-a-half. At the end of that time he had even taught himself to play Liebestraum, which is a very challenging piece! At that time I said, okay, I've just got to do whatever it takes to make room in the budget for him to start taking lessons!! .
This month marks two years since he started taking lessons at Depauw University. He has come such a long way, he continues to play beautifully! His dedication and work has paid off. I'm so proud of him, not just for his piano talent and work and ability, but for his character, his cheerful spirit, his determination, compassion and caring. .
He is a wonderful young man and I could not be more proud to be his mom. If there is signal in the building, I will hopefully do in Instagram live of him playing in his recital today! So stay tuned.
