On April 10th I was given the opportunity to showcase a piece of my art at The Port Moody Council Meeting @cityofportmoody!! A big thank you to @janice_cotter for making this happen. Thank you Mayor @mikeclay for saying "one of my favourite local artists", it put a big smile on my face. Thank you to everyone who was involved with this. It was pretty nifty. If you want to hear the video, the link is in my profile 😁🙌😁 or copy and paste this link http://www.portmoody.ca/index.aspx?recordid=1973&page=125
I had the strangest day that flowed with activity from the moment I opened my eyes. Got a ton of things done but never actually made it to the studio. 😳
It reminded me of the quote from “ Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency “ by Douglas Adams. “ I don’t always get where I’m going but I always end up where I need to be.”
Hope you had one of those days too 😍

“Deep conversations with the right people are priceless”~ unknown
How often does that happen for you? I love people. I love hearing their thoughts, I love learning about people. Having honest to goodness conversation’s that matter. Having a conversation that matters or leaves you smiling is worth every minute. Even better is a conversation where you’ve left the other person smiling or feeling better than before you started talking. I felt this little piece was a reflection of two stories meeting and combining, complementing each other even though they may be different. Just some thoughts that I missed over while putting this together.
This original artwork is up for sale (35.00CAD) You can see this piece in person at @cityperkscoffee until May 7. DM me or comment below if you’d like to find out more or purchase this piece.
Other people may cover/paint over/conceal the edges of their paintings but for me, it’s a special little window - like a “behind the scenes” look into what really went down. That’s exactly why I keep all edges exposed for the world to see! 🎨
