I had an Asda Slimzone burger {free}, 1 chicken drumstick with nandos lemon and herb marinade {0.5, I only ate 1}, 2x Asda low fat sausages {1, 0.5 each}, a lamb kebab with peppers and onions {free + speed}, pasta with tomato purée, onions and peppers {free + speed}, bachelors vegetable rice {0.5}, and some salad {speed} with tomato sauce {1}

I’m going to give you two scenarios where overnight weight gain doesn’t mean anything.

But first you need to know this. Your muscles store on average 300-500g of carbohydrates in the form of carbs or glycogen. Along with each gram of carbs/glycogen, 3-4g of water come along  for the ride, being stored in the muscle.

What does this mean to your body weight?
.
If you do the maths, based on that alone, that gives a range of between 1.98lbs/0.9kg - 4.4lbs/2kg that your body weight can vary by. That’s quite a big range but it can definitely be bigger because of all the other factors that cause your weight to increase.
.
When you diet, you eat less. Less food and less carbs typically, which means your water and carbs/glycogen stored in your muscles will be less than normal.
.
So imagine one day you went and ate a little something off-plan. Let’s say, pizza or pasta, something carb heavy. Or maybe you ate more than you should’ve overall. Guess what happens?
.
Your weight goes up due to the replenishment of the lost water and carbs in your muscles.
.
Another scenario is when you start strength training or maybe you just go for a really intense Spinning class. The next day you weigh more. A lot more. You feel heavy and bulky too, but not to worry.
.
It’s your body SUPER-compensating. Potentially, the weight gain can be even more than the first scenario. It’s your body’s way of making up for what it’s lost and also to help draw more energy into your body to fuel the recovery process, among other things.

That’s it. I hope by helping you understand how your body works, you’ll know why you gain weight, NOT fat. you don’t need to be concerned with these weight fluctuations and you don’t need to feel disheartened or demotivated.

All of the time I hear people saying "I cannot do it by myself" and saying they either need to join Weight Watches, Slimming World or take up meal replacement shakes and this is so Untrue! 
How I lost my weight at a healthy pace and how I'm still enjoying foods and drinks I enjoy is simply burning more calories than you eat. 
If you can simply follow to this format I garuntee you will loose weight. The more of a difference between the calories you burn Vs the calories you eat is more weight you're going to loose.

The morale of the story? Don’t blindly follow a stupidly restrictive 1200 calorie diet and don’t keep cutting your calories just because you’re too impatient and under the influence of your scale weight.

Yup. 😑 It happens, and you are not alone!!!

And then the cycle continues... 🔄

So, how do you NOT let weekends ruin your progress?? 🤔

🤞🏼 Well, the first step is to be self-aware and PLAN AHEAD!!

🍩 You could do this by fasting in the mornings, or doing some extra cardio or crushing a workout, or simply more accurately controlling portions of “fun” foods!

🍽 Additionally, you could work into your plan lower calorie intakes during the week so you can accommodate more calories on the weekend. This, when done strategically, can make a lot of sense compared to letting it happen by default.

🥂 Lastly, one thing that REALLY can complicate a weekend is excess alcohol consumption — aka, it’s hard to avoid calories (pizza, ice cream, French fries, etc) when you’re drunk or hammered. So limiting alcoholic consumption makes a lot of sense!

THE WEEKEND! 😈 - 😱 And then magically, you lose ALL of your progress, binge on an entire pizza 🍕, countless cookies 🍪, alcohol 🍷 and other goodies?!?! Only for the scale to be UP?! - Yup. 😑 It happens, and you are not alone!!! - And then the cycle continues... 🔄 - So, how do you NOT let weekends ruin your progress?? 🤔 - 🤞🏼 Well, the first step is to be self-aware and PLAN AHEAD!! - 🍩 You could do this by fasting in the mornings, or doing some extra cardio or crushing a workout, or simply more accurately controlling portions of “fun” foods! - 🍽 Additionally, you could work into your plan lower calorie intakes during the week so you can accommodate more calories on the weekend. This, when done strategically, can make a lot of sense compared to letting it happen by default. - 🥂 Lastly, one thing that REALLY can complicate a weekend is excess alcohol consumption — aka, it’s hard to avoid calories (pizza, ice cream, French fries, etc) when you’re drunk or hammered.
