Sometimes you need to remind yourself that you were the one who carried you through the heartache. You are the one who sits with the cold body on the shower floor, and picks it up. You are the one who feeds it, who clothes it, who tucks it into bed, and you should be proud of that. Having the strength to take care of yourself when the world is trying to bleed you dry, that is the strongest thing in the universe.🌅💜🌸🦋
When all you are left with is you, you push through.
When you have pushed everyone else into knowing who is really for them and you find you are standing by yourself.
When you are pressing into others to produce and you feel like you can’t produce another thing.
When you are wishing them well while your well has run dry.
When you are trying to decide if you have completely lost your mind and find yourself searching for a sign to say you’re still sane.
When you’re ready to swerve and hit every hater, but consciously choose to stay in your lane.
When you said no so they can hold onto their yes.
When you close your mouth so they can keep the vow they said.
When you turn away because you know going forward would be distraction leading to a retraction.
When you have given all you have, but can’t get what you need.
When you look around and see emptiness, but no space.
When you sleep, but can’t capture rest.
When you must smile even though you are facing a trial.
When you see everyone that means something passing you by, but not one of them has said something or uttered a goodbye.
When the difference between your life and death is a simple what if.
When your accounts are depleted, but you are expected to pay for everyone’s everything.
You force in a deep breath.
You force out a long breath.
You stop and breath again.
You consider your breath is a reminder there is a G-d.
You remember that G-d gave you another opportunity to experience power with every single breath you continue to take.
You know that power comes from the strength placed inside you for those moments when your “when” could precede your last breath.
You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.
Even when it seems impossible. 🌹Pastor Dionne 🌹
