with Taurus seasons now here (my birthday is on the 15!) i've felt a very strong need to retreat. to go inward. to learn. to nurture myself. ☼ creativity flows through me ~ and a lightness has fallen upon my heart. As a Taurus Sun I'm a very grounded person in general. I always have a need to return to myself, to my heart, and to be alone. Things get crazy & the ebbs and flows of life can be very destabilizing at times, but at my core, I have a very deep-seated peace dwelling and growing. ⠀

I spent my day today inside, studying my @herbalacademy Intermediate Course, drank chai almond milk lattes all day, and rested. I've watched the birds outside my window, I've heard them sing their spring songs. I've watching the squirrels play, and started gathering my belongings for my eventual move across the continent. ⠀

I don't feel so overwhelmed these days, despite how things could be perceived. I have an interview at the US embassy coming up this week, which is rather stressful, but I know everything is unfolding ever so lovingly, gently, at the pace it should. And even though I've been apart from my fiancé for almost 3 months now, I know that it's worth it. The longing to be by his side and missing him so dearly ~ is worth the wait. ⠀

We took a little overnight getaway with the kids to a cozy cabin in East Texas and it was P.E.R.F.E.C.T. Of course with kids things go, not so much as planned 😆 but that’s part of the fun. Amidst the chaos, distractions, and craziness that every day living throws our way, we decided to disconnect to reconnect and I soaked 💦 up every moment- swinging with my kids talking about how grass tastes 😬, cleaning burnt marshmallow off of errrr’thing 🙄, adventurous hikes and laughing at dad 🙊, I loved it all💗. .

I turned my phone back from airplane ✈️ mode and was flooded with texts, messages, and emails, and am in the midst of responding to them all. So if you were one of them, know that I haven’t forgotten you and there’s a really good reason for the delayed response 🙃.
