Did a full set-up last night for a friend: This picture reflects the first two shots (and only) on the paper tuner. Scroll right to see details on what your looking for if you’ve never done a paper tune. #bulletholes#papertuning#DontMissTheMark
Day 5 - Oners for life! This film has a lot of long scenes with people talking at each other and I wanted to find a way to cover that in a more seamless way than just MCU cut MCU. So I tried to design camera moves that would allow for the scene to be covered in one shot. It's not every scene but there are hopefully enough of them to keep things emotional and/or interesting. I entertained the idea of Steadicam oping as a career for a while and helped run several workshops and thus have a love affair for moving cameras. Anyway, yesterday we did two - and they're pretty cool. Simple, but good. Next week we have a more complex one which I'm really hoping we can pull off. It'll make the scene incredibly dynamic when combined with these actors' talent. Also, shout out to this awesome corner of our cafe set - the bullet-hole stop sign is the greatest.
