@pinchofyum ‘s chocolate chip cookies were so highly recommended by @iowagirleats that I finally had to give them a shot. I swapped the butter with browned butter, but this recipe is perfection either way!
I was craving carrot cake, so I made carrot cake. 🤷🏼♀️ Not any carrot cake would do though and don’t even try to talk me into a recipe with raisins in it!! 🙈 But I am into browned butter so this cake from @stylesweetdaily was calling my name. I have way too many adjectives to describe how delicious this cake is....did I mention the cream cheese frosting?!! Let’s just say my sweet tooth is happy. ✔️🥕🍰 🙌🏻

Me: OK, should I make the blondies, straight, or should make Danger Blondies. The Dange-
Larry and Easton in unison: Danger Blondies! (Except they both said it, DAAANGER Blondies.) Me: You don’t even know what they are?
Larry: Who cares? Danger!
Easton: Yeah, Mommy, we like Danger! *** It may seems like all my baking is coming from @bravetart lately, and honestly, that’s ‘cause it is. There’s something about this cookbook that makes me keep wanting to try Stella’s version. But also, the book tends to repeat ingredients, so if you have the right flour, the malted milk powder, etc., already in your kitchen from one, it just kind of seems to make sense to make another. *** These Blondies, made for a get together at our friends, use caramelized white chocolate and browned butter to give them their deep butterscotch flavor. I didn’t buy enough @valrhonausa Dulcey for the Danger part, so these are made with a mix of the feves (in the blondies) and homemade (for the ganache-like Danger topping). Truth: I was way too proud when I realized that my caramelized white chocolate was the same exact color of the store bought version. *** Somehow, in spite of mixing methodically and using an instant read thermometer, these bars were still not cooked through in the center, once cut a couple hours later. (This seems to be a continuing oven/IRT issue for me.) But the outside squares were perfect: rich, dense, crackly...and full of 4-year-old & 30-something-year-old appropriate danger. .

And if scallops aren’t your thing, or you don’t have any on hand, you can also substitute shrimp! 🍤 Cooking is all about being flexible.
The scallops are seared to golden perfection in browned butter and tossed with artichokes, burst tomatoes, pasta, and fresh lemon 🍋 Now that definitely screams spring. Top it off with fresh basil and my favorite @sartoricheese parmesan, and you’ve got a light but comforting dinner! 🙌🏻 Stay warm, my friends!
