Who would have thought that kid you lapped in high school would have grew up to throw a bib on 🏃🏻♂️. There’s ones who succeeded because they were destined, others were just determined (& in lots and lots of pain the next morning) #twocities#brooksrunning
Broke in my new running shoes tonight, and they felt great, but I've been in a funk for a couple days.
My EBV has flared up, and it makes me feel pretty crappy. I am thankful @melasia82 did a 4 mile run/walk with me tonight because it helped me keep going.
So send some positive vibes my way that this flare up passes soon and that my post tib tendon and psoas muscle chill out with whatever BS they are trying to pull. I have a race this weekend, and I'm aiming for a personal best, so I'm gonna need my body to get it together. 😁
There's a lot that goes on behind the scenes before you ever slip on a shoe. Tonight we got to hang with the folks from @basf_na and @brooksrunning and chat about shoe design, materials the bad weather @bostonmarathon and yes, we even spoke about Desi's shoe.
Tonight’s dinner consisted of the bacon-wrapped stuffed chicken from #RunFastEatSlow and it was AWESOME! I’m so happy I have leftovers for lunch tomorrow😍 I decided to take today off from training. What do you typically do on your “off” days?
It’s been so long since I wore shorts on a run! But it’s been a while since I’ve ran in 70°F weather and my body is not use to it. AKA heart rate got a little higher than usual. •
But it’s a welcomed problem as I’ll take the hotter days over the cold any day. And I’ll soak in as much vitamin D as I can because winter went on longer than needed. And it’s raining tomorrow 🌧😒
