Reunited with my SWEET POTATO YOGURT BOWL ✨
After being gone for a week and a half, it’s nice to be back in my kitchen and to also sneak in some time to enjoy my breakfast at home rather than in my car on the way to work or at my desk. I realize it’s not “good” to eat on the go but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do!! ✨
Happy Thursday friends!!! After work, I have another deep tissue massage session for my IT band because YES I haven’t been able to run still 😕 - however!! It is getting better so that’s something yeah?? ✨
Bowl dEATs: roasted sweet potato wedges + @siggisdairy yogurt + @onceagainnutbutter cashew butter + Fuji apple and banana + hemp seeds and cacao nibs ✨
Good morning 🌞
Grilled eggplant from previous post + @vitalfarms egg I microwaved at work with a drizzle of olive oil + 🥑 + 🍊
Work has been so crazy and stressful that I’ve been so exhausted at the end of the day to put my workouts in. The flu followed by bronchitis that lasted like forever put me out of my morning workout routine. 😞
But I still try to eat well
What’s so special about breakfast?
The time between dinner and waking up the next day is the longest most people go without food, which is a big part of why breakfast is so important.
⏰ Eating within two hours of waking can positively impact: how you metabolize glucose (sugar), your diet the rest of your day, and your long term body weight.
Studies have found that if you eat a healthy breakfast, with lean protein and low in fat and sugar, you will eat less overall and consume less sugar and sweets throughout the day. This is an easy, yet significant step when you are trying to manage, or even lose, body weight.
A healthy breakfast has also been shown to improve mental function and physical energy levels, making it a crucial factor in success at work and school.
What did you have for breakfast this morning?
"Breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a pauper." I remember hearing this line in nutrition school. It means having your biggest meal in the morning and your smallest at night. So many of us get this wrong! If we don't eat much early in the day, we feel famished later and may overeat.
Pictured: orange slices, veggie sausage, toast with veg cream cheese, and chocolate soymilk. Note: My serving size may not be appropriate for you. Listen to your body and eat what is right for you!
Eu tentei 99 vezes e falhei, mas na centésima tentativa consegui 💪🏻 nunca desista dos seus objetivos mesmo que esses pareçam impossíveis, a próxima tentativa pode ser a vitoriosa.
