Mental & physical health are so tightly woven together
it’s incredible how so many people don’t realize that you can’t have one without the other.
With that said, unless you’ve been shown or have experienced or are just acutely aware of your health & its ups and downs, it may not be that obvious to you.
And this is okay.
A LOT of people don’t realize the importance one has on the other.
And sometimes people forget.
It’s alarming easy to do sometimes.
But they truly do work together.
If you don’t believe me, try paying a little more attention to your
mental acuity/clarity, &
sleep quality throughout the week.
(And those are just to name a few things)
Try to connect the dots for yourself throughout your day.
What causes you to feel this way or that?
In my opinion, the mind and body are one &
Your health should be addressed as such.
Both need your attention, but I promise that if you focus on one, the other will improve.
What’s one way you can improve your mental health today/ this week?
I’ll share mine:
Today, I went to a counseling appointment, & I’m going to feed myself some healthy af food.
(And yesterday I laid by the pool & worked out😉) #mentalhealth#physicalhealth#mentalhealthawareness#both#canthaveonewithouttheother
Do you agree?
Or do you think physical health and mental health are separate?

"It’s nice to get comfortable with fear. It’s a little bit of a cliche, yeah. It’s kind of a fashionable practice to say, “Oh I like to do things that scare me. “ You know? It’s true! But it’s more about if you’re really conscientious and really tap into a certain kind of wonder and a certain kind of process of creating something. Rather than just interpreting something — that’s what, once you get in that place of not knowing you’ve been there before and it kind of gives you this kind of courage that you wouldn’t normally have. That you don’t normally have in life." - Willem Dafoe

Yanny, or Laurel?
On my initial listen I definitively heard "YANNY". When you dissect the sound you may hear both, which is what happened to me upon subsequent listens.
The two voices are playing simultaneously with different pitches. "Yanny" being a fast high pitch. A somewhat alienesque tone. "Laurel" being a much deeper, slower robotic pitch. For all my 80's babies out there, think of when the Ben Stein recites "Bueller, Bueller, Bueller..." in that classic teen comedy and you'll hear "Laurel". Otherwise, you will probably hear "Yanny". I love how these otherwise meaningless distractions create such dialogue amongst us. By opening up our minds to both possiblities, it's interesting how much we can hear when we allow ourselves to listen.
