#circleofbookishfriends Book Pic prompt for Day 27 is Title Page.
When I heard that Robert McCammon would be signing books at @alabamabooksmith the day The Listener was published I just had to order a copy. I haven't read Mr. McCammon yet but people I respect hold him in high esteem. And I love my signed/personalized first/first. .
Incredibly, the book was in my mailbox the next day along with this extra signed title page print that I plan to have framed.
Animal Farm is an allegorical novella by George Orwell.According to Orwell, the book reflects events leading up to the Russian Revolution of 1917 and then on into the Stalinist era of the Soviet Union.Orwell, a democratic socialist, was a critic of Joseph Stalin.in his essay "Why I Write" (1946), orwell wrote that Animal Farm was the first book in which he tried, with full consciousness of what he was doing, "to fuse political purpose and artistic purpose into one whole".
🐷"Man is the only creature that consumes without producing. He does not give milk, he does not lay eggs, he is too weak to pull the plough, he cannot run fast enough to catch rabbits. Yet he is lord of all the animals. He sets them to work, he gives back to them the bare minimum that will prevent them from starving, and the rest he keeps for himself".
🐷"The only good human being is dead one".

Oi pessoal, tudo bem? Como foi o fds de vcs? 😉

also also I bought like 20 rolls of washi tape today and it cost me 10 dollars so that was a great buy lmao
That are some days where you dont have to mood to do,anything. Like literally anything. Books, tvshows, studying, eating, even lazying around seems like a chore. Staring at the ceiling is one option, "watching" a TV rerun is another(e.g.watching Friends for the millionth time)
And sleeping is the the third.
I chose option 2.i re watched around 20 episodes of Running Man. 😂 it was nice and all but there are so many things to do and i have no interest in doing anything.😧 i think i need to rest a bit before going back to studying
I am on overload.
Thankfully it is Sunday.😑 unfortunately tomorrow is Monday. 😅
🎬Kdrama of today: Secret Garden
One of my first kdrama (back in 2009) still a favourite to this day and the reason why i love Ha Ji Won and Hyun Bin so much. 😍💕
Oblivion by Anthony Horowitz
I am crying every damn time i read this book 😢
🍓Contemporary Character/Modern Female
💕The Calloway Sisters from The Addicted Series by K B.Ritchie
💕Thora James from Amour Amour by Krista and Becca Ritchie
🍓Serious or Light Hearted
A Combination of both is better.
If it is too serious i get bored, if it is too light hearted i feel irritated 😅
Nikolai Kotova from Amour Amour by Krista and Becca Ritchie
If nothing else this character is a supporter. He supports his family, siblings, troupe, girlfriend. As an artist and a person he provides support for everyone. 😕

⚓Feroze, the forgotten gandhi, is the story of a parsi boy, who was born in Bombay, but grew up with her aunt ( according to rumors she is her real mother) in allahabad.
⚓Later he joined the indian freedom movement to free India from the yoke of British imperialism.
⚓Infact during the Indian freedom movement, he came in contact with Kamala Nehru ( wife of India's first prime minister, jawahar lal nehru ), and he remained loyal to her at last. When Kamala nehru died because of tuberculosis in Europe, Feroze was present There.
⚓ When Feroze was in europe he proposed Indira Gandhi ( daughter of jawahar lal nehru and Kamala nehru ) for marriage, indira said yes to Feroze, and they came to India.
⚓When the news reached to the people of India that the daughter of jawahar lal, marrying a parsi ( or non-hindu ), many people in india started opposing the marriage, but the couple already received the blessings of mahatma gandhi, and later the marriage ceremony took place at anand bhavan ( residence of jawahar lal nehru ).
⚓But after few years of marriage the relationship between the two started deteriorating, indira moved on with their children to her father's house, and Feroze stayed at his new delhi house. And one of the reason for the separation is that Feroze was a womanizer.
⚓ After Independence Feroze was elected as the member of parliament from the Rai bareli constituency, and in parliament he was known as the unofficial leader of the opposition, Infact he was the first one who called Indira gandhi a ' Fascist ', at the breakfast table, because Indira Gandhi had forced her father to remove the world's first elected communist government in kerala.

Hi! Happy Sunday! It’s The Chosen One for #fandomay2018 and I had to pick the book that finally got me back into reading as an “adult” and showed me just how great fiction can be. I’ve read this book about once a year since like 2008-ish? I’m super excited to have this new edition to wear out.
I finally finished Adjustment Day! I really liked it and I can see myself rereading it soon, tbh. I wasn’t sure about the plot at first but I ended up liking it. It did drag in the middle for a bit, but it was funny as heck, and the writing was fantastic.
Alright. I’m headed back into holiday weekend mode. I’m trying to soak up some sun and get through my currently reading pile.

La Vida Es Una Verbena means “the life is a party” ✨✨✨!
The book is full of lovely illustrations, Jane Austen quotes and insights about the modern life. Lucía Be has a new book, No Me da la Vida and I can’t wait to get it!
"READING IS A WAY OF SEEING, and seeing is a way of reading. It's hard, if not impossible, to find a good writer who is not a good reader. Reading is more than deciphering words into messages. It's an artistic skill, no different from any other." — Roman Muradov
This is the Coffee Cake from The Vintage Baker cookbook! The crumb topping adds the right amount of crunchiness to make this incredibly moist cake amazing 🍰! PS.: Although the name calls for breakfast, I'm Brazilian and in no way I'm eating this in the morning! I've baked half the recipe with a quarter of the crumb amount and it came out perfectly!
What is your favourite Audrey Hepburn movie?
Between the design, the photos and the colour of the book under the jacket, Audrey: The 60's is just amazing! For sure one of the most beautiful books I own.
It also has never seen before photos from negatives, restored ones and a lovely collection of Audrey's model pictures from Vogue!
Breakfast at Tiffany's was always my favourite movie, but finally reading Truman Capote's book this year was what made me began to understand all the lengths Audrey Hepburn went in the making of the Holly we know and love.
Have you guys read the book? What do you prefer?
The Holly illustration is on the book Well-Read Women: Portraits of Fiction's Most Beloved Heroines by Samantha Hahn and the notebook and postcards are by Chronicle Books, Abrams and designed by LULU*. Lipstick Pretty in Pink by Revlon.
