O FRIO realmente afasta as pessoas da academia? Sim... mas isso tem a ver com desânimo, fatores psicológicos, e a preguicinha que o inverno traz. Você sabia que existem muitas VANTAGENS de treinar essa época do ano? O inverno se aproxima e com ele o mito de que no frio é mais fácil ganhar gordura. Pelo contrário: o frio ajuda a gastar calorias. Seja no inverno ou no verão, o corpo humano mantém uma temperatura constante, geralmente de 36,6º. Com o frio, o organismo precisa produzir mais calor para manter essa temperatura, o que acaba acelerando o metabolismo. E, como sabemos, metabolismo acelerado é sinônimo de maior gasto de calorias. A ideia de que temos mais fome nesse período é mais baseada no fator psicológico do que, propriamente, físico.
De acordo com alguns estudos, praticar exercícios físicos durante o inverno aumenta em até 30% a queima de calorias. Além disso, com o clima mais frio, o corpo queima mais calorias para manter-se aquecido e aumentar a sensação de calor. Desta maneira, as mudanças fisiológicas e metabólicas geradas pelo frio podem potencializar os exercícios e aumentar os efeitos das atividades no organismo.

Cuando empezamos un plan nutricional ya sea del tipo que sea queremos resultados y los queremos YA! 
Eso puede llevarnos a la frustración y a el abandono por ello hay que disfrutar del camino y no escuchar a la gente, simplemente tener paciencia. 
Un par de consejos para ver mejor esos cambios:
• Hazte fotos para poder compáralas semanalmente ya que quizás la báscula no baja pero tu cuerpo cambia. • Toma medidas de tu abdomen y muslos para ver si pierdes cm. 
Y no olvidemos nunca que un paso por muy pequeño que sea siempre será un avance.

Shoulders are a pretty small muscle group but don’t let that fool you. There are three parts that you need to hit to make sure you fully develop them.

Front delts are easy to target. They get hit with all pressing movements. For that reason, I personally don’t do any isolation exercises for them. Overhead presses and Arnold presses when combined with chest presses should be sufficient. If you don’t think it is, you can do front raises.

Rear delts a bit more difficult to hit. Like front delts get hit with pressing movements, rear delts get hit with all rowing movements. However, I still find most people’s rear delts are underdeveloped when compared to their front delts so I do recommend incorporating isolation exercises. Facepulls are my favorite one.

Side delts are probably the most difficult to develop. They will get hit in addition to front delts with any shoulder press movement but they do not get hit with chest pressing exercises or rowing exercises so they definitely need more isolation work. Some variation of lateral raises will be your best bet. Upright rows are another option but most people do them incorrectly which can cause shoulder issues.

Looking to build muscle and burn fat AT THE SAME DAMN TIME?! A recomp is what you're after. Here's how to do it.

Multiply your body weight by 15. That's gonna give you a rough estimate of your maintenance calories (assuming you're moderately active) This level of calories will give you enough to build muscle and as you build muscle, you'll burn fat.

Lift heavy ass weight 3-4 times a week to create the stimulus for muscle growth and fat burning.

Eat whole foods. I know, I know - calories in calories out - but whole foods are full of nutrients that your body needs for all kinds of metabolic processes in the body. Make it easier on yourself and eat stuff mother nature gave us, not some twat in a lab. She knows best.

Make sure you're getting plenty of sleep. If your sleep is fucky, your cortisol will be fucky. If your cortisol is fucky, your testosterone will be fucky. Cortisol is catabolic to muscle and anabolic to fat. Testosterone is anabolic to muscle and catabolic to fat. Sleep is important for teh shredz.

That's the recipe in a nutshell and currently what I'm doing with kick ass results. Strength and muscle are going up and fat is coming off. It's a bit of a slower process, but accomplishing both at once makes it worth it.

Let’s talk about smoothies this lovely Thursday, and how the amount of sugar in them can be the equivalent of eating two candy bars. Crazy right? Generally people think when they are opting for a smoothie that they are making the healthiest choice, but that isn’t always the case. Places like tropical smoothie have ‘added sugars’ which means they are adding sugars to the already natural sugars in the smoothie- that kills the nutritional value real quick. So although you think you are benefiting from picking the smoothie you might be better off choosing something else or making your own (I usually use frozen fruit, avocado (makes it creamy), spinach, and coconut water) when I don’t have time to make one the place I go to has ZERO added sugar. No that doesn’t mean sugar free- it just means that the sugar in the smoothie is naturally derived from the fruits and veggies that make up the smoothie. It’s always helpful to look at nutritional information before ordering anything if you are trying to lose weight, maintain, or just care about your overall health. You would seriously be shocked by some of the foods you think are healthy that aren’t. Happy Thursday it’s almost the weekend!!🥗🍏🍎🥝🥒🥑

CREPES VERDES CON ENSALADA DE LENTEJAS 🌱

➡Crêpes de sarraceno:
.
1 cup / 250 ml de harina de sarraceno
2 huevos
pizca de sal
finas hierbas
puñado pequeño de albahaca
puñado grande de espinaca
¾ cup / 185 ml de leche de coco
1 cup / 250 ml de agua

➡Relleno:
.
1 taza de lentejas ya cocidas
½ granada desmenuzada
1 aguacate cortado
¼ cup de pepitas de calabazas salteadas
puñado de menta
aceite de oliva
limón
sal
.

➡ Preparación:
.
En tu batidora, pon los ingredientes de las crêpes hasta que tengas una masa lisa y homogénea.
.
Pon a calentar una sartén con 1 cuchara de aceite de coco.
Vierte ¼ cup de masa y cocina unos minutos a fuego medio o hasta que aparezcan unas burbujas. Dale la vuelta y cocina un par de minutos. Continúa hasta agotar la masa.
.
En un bol, mezcla las lentejas con la granada, el aguacate, las pepitas de calabaza y un puñado de menta. Añade un poco de aceite de oliva, pizca de sal y zumo de ½ limón.

Rellena tus crêpes con la ensalada de lentejas.

CREPES VERDES CON ENSALADA DE LENTEJAS 🌱 . . ➡Crêpes de sarraceno: . 1 cup / 250 ml de harina de sarraceno 2 huevos pizca de sal finas hierbas puñado pequeño de albahaca puñado grande de espinaca ¾ cup / 185 ml de leche de coco 1 cup / 250 ml de agua . . ➡Relleno: . 1 taza de lentejas ya cocidas ½ granada desmenuzada 1 aguacate cortado ¼ cup de pepitas de calabazas salteadas puñado de menta aceite de oliva limón sal . . ➡ Preparación: . En tu batidora, pon los ingredientes de las crêpes hasta que tengas una masa lisa y homogénea. . Pon a calentar una sartén con 1 cuchara de aceite de coco. Vierte ¼ cup de masa y cocina unos minutos a fuego medio o hasta que aparezcan unas burbujas. Dale la vuelta y cocina un par de minutos. Continúa hasta agotar la masa. . En un bol, mezcla las lentejas con la granada, el aguacate, las pepitas de calabaza y un puñado de menta. Añade un poco de aceite de oliva, pizca de sal y zumo de ½ limón. .
