@therealadamsavage @normchan just published a great video on YouTube of their Goldberg arms snubnose #bladerunnerblaster it was very inspirational and reminded me I should get back to my own scratch built version. If you haven’t watched any of the #tested#onedaybuild videos, they are thoughtful and inspiring to me. So many blasters, so little time.
Snubnose blaster , totally wrong scale :( i modeled it around a .44 frame , not a .38, dunno what i was thinking, heavily influenced by the doppleganger snubnose design,...its basically a straight up copy or knock off,....gimmie a break,..i cant find or even afford a real one :) has working bolt and lever, working cylinder catch, triggers are static ,no hammer, still workin on making a fully functional blaster some day ! #bladerunner#bladerunnerblaster#bladerunner2049#prop#propmaking#3dprinting
Didn’t get any Super Nintendo games in March—was planning on getting to 325 since my birthday is tomorrow, 3/25, but it was not meant to be—but @amill_makeup came through in a big way and helped me to truly complete my boxed SNES with these two inserts I was missing. I did get Kirby, though, and thank goodness for that little ball of happiness. Otherwise, I took a bit of a break this month to focus on two non-gaming projects: the first, getting back to screenwriting, which I went to school for and haven’t done in a decade; the second, modding the finish on my Blade Runner blaster to match the deep grey steel of the 1982 version. This blaster is seriously my Favorite Thing Ever, especially now that I’ve personalized it. In any case! The goal for the year is 400 SNES games... not sure if I can make that happen, but I’ll be happy if I get to 50% of the North American set! Also, hit me up if you’ve got a cheap copy of Pinocchio or Bonkers you want to send me way!! #snes#supernintendo#nintendo#retrogamer#retrogames#retrogaming#switch#kirbystarallies#bladerunner#bladerunnerblaster#tomenosukeblaster#tomenosuke#pkdblaster#thatgun
Three months after paying for it with the most valuable video game I owned, my Blade Runner blaster has finally arrived! These are made in Japan by a company called Tomenosuke, and they’re so accurate to the design of the sidearm used by Harrison Ford in the 1982 film that the prop department from Blade Runner 2049 purchased several to use on screen in their film. This model is “as issued” to a member of LAPD 2019’s Rep-Detect unit; I will likely weather it in the next couple of months to match the worn look of the “hero” prop used in the original film. For now: it’s here, and it’s all mine! #bladerunner#tomenosuke#tomenosukeblaster#bladerunnerblaster#bladerunner2049#filmprops#movieprops#scifi#cyberpunk#johnniewalker#pkdblaster
