Baskets? How do you organize your edc stuff? How do you feel about this basket? Would you use something like this?
My wife sold this basket already, but I like it. I would have this on my dresser holding something for sure. .
I’d like to start offering much more on woodlandernorth.com than just leather. I have several ideas in the works. What do you think about baskets for men’s stuff though?
So I know I’ve been posting a lot of baskets recently, but I’ve been in a groove and love making them. This batch is all ready to be boxed up as I try to squeeze in one last snow machine run to carry packages out.
This time of year becomes a bit hurried as we try to fit in as much as we can before walking season starts. We bring in larger supplies and try to hustle to carry out as much as possible. It looks like Ryan will fit one last run in to ship by Friday and then we’ll park the machines. These beauties are part of the last batch.
So many makers made this pic possible. Make sure to tag the pic for sources.
Now it’s time for some feedback from you all...
What’s your favorite style woven or bucket? Words or no words? Lids or no lids? Dark or light thread? So many choices lol. Want one more choice? Slide right and see a video of all the tags coming soon from Kimberly @compassrisinghandcraft. Tell me which tag stands out to you the most. Thanks for hanging in with all my questions and baskets. I hope you love them as much as I do.
Oh! And the sale on all my natural care items is still going on. Any orders placed today and tomorrow will ship on Friday.
I definitely needed some grounding this morning. Littlest love and I took a walk with Mother Earth, released and received some beautiful energy and hugged a few trees🤗. This shedded birch bark we found on the ground carries special meaning in my current journey. The grape hyacinths also hold special meaning to me.
I definitely felt better but needed a bit more grounding. These russet and organic purple potatoes did just the trick. I added fresh rosemary, basil and a bit of dried oregano and black pepper. So soothing.
Also! The knowledge of root vegetables being grounding comes from the lovely Sarah @intuitivelywell. If you haven’t been to her page, you’re missing out on jewels of guidance, wisdom and healing.

Whew! I’m finally emerging from the pile that was the shipping area of my workspace. Now let’s have some fun to celebrate. I’ve just marked down all of my balms, tinctures, and infusions by 15%. They’re all in stock and ready to go no code needed. While you’re there, I’ve listed my remaining ready to ship baskets in the shop. Head over and check them out. Tag a friend that may be interested.
Last week, my friend Sasha @feathersandgrace shared with me her experience using my calendula/Rose balm. She irritated an old injury in her calf and needed her husband to rub it out even though it hurt to touch. I mentioned calendula’s anti inflammatory actions to her. So the second time he did it, she had him use the calendula/Rose balm to massage with. The next morning she woke up 95% better! I love hearing these stories from my people 😘. She even used it to help relieve her husband’s sciatica pain. This is such amazing stuff. And now you can get it discounted through 10pm CST on Thursday. Head over to thepioneerprincesshome.com.
And a special thanks again to Kate @prettyandprintedshop for my chalkboard and pieces of Alaska signs. I LOVE them!
I found this quote last night and it hit home for sure. I could just about say that now that my kids are school age I am just as if not more tired than infancy 😆. Not in the I haven’t slept in days mombie style, but mentally exhausted. To make sure they have a good quality education takes a lot. I’m learning along my homeschool path that teachers need more credit than they are given.
I feel like as the grades get higher teachers get a bad wrap more than happy warm memories like younger years. She gave me a bad grade. He’s just mean. Too much homework. Ugh another pop quiz! But I’m seeing it now and they don’t get enough love. This teaching thing to make us into functional educated humans is hard work. And that can be a challenging task to accomplish. So yes teaching is like an all consuming candle when done correctly. We should recognize that whether our kids are homeschooled or attend public school.
So tag a teacher friend today (public or home school) and tell them they’re loved and appreciated for all the hard work they put in each day. Teacher’s appreciation is coming up soon. I’ve got these one of a kind Bookbarks made out of birch bark stocked in my shop with FREE SHIPPING on them (if purchased with another item, shipping applies to the other items). Head over and grab one for your teacher friend or for yourself if you’re a homeschooler because we all need a gift for a job well done.

Spring is a magical time. Everything comes to life after a long winter. For us this period means a lot of work and preparations for the further production - only once a year in spring is permissible to remove the layer of bark from the tree.
Okidoki birchsap harvest from approx. 3h. The birchsap did not flow anymore when I came by. But for a tasting it's enough. The taste was not very good. Not sugery or so it's hard to describe. It left a wired smell it the mouth. It was a good experiment to know but I will not do this again. Maybe for a absolute emergency Situation. .
Do you have diffrent experiance about birchsap? Pls leave a comment.
I’m still elbow deep in boxes and packing orders over here. Not that I’m complaining because that means you guys have supported my little shop 😘. Ryan is outside finishing the last bit of snow removal on the addition. That means a week of letting it dry then we can start building 🙌. And last but not least, I’ve got the beginnings of lasagna (with moose of course) going on the stove.
I love busy Mondays getting stuff done. Something else I love? My amazing friends here on IG and their support. This beauty is heading to Canada to one of my favorite homestead buddies Cher @sunnydaysfarm.
If you are interested in anything farm life and cute, you have to head over and check her out. Her farm is animal heaven where every chicken, sheep, horse, and dog gets the best life has to offer. I’m so happy to be sending this one off to her. She grows some amazing flowers and I can’t wait to see it on her table.
This new style has kept me busy with orders this week and I love it. You guys really seem to love the words option. Speaking of words...one of my other favorite people in the world Kimberly @compassrisinghandcraft got a ton of new words burned today. She sent me some preview pics and I’ll post them in my stories. So head up to my stories and have a peek. Come back and tell me which ones you love the most. And if you really love it, I can reserve it to go on your piece when it arrived next week.
What word would you put on one of the new styles? What would you put in it? I’d love to hear your ideas. I’m back to creating tonight once all of the boxes are packed.
Some of my favorite things right now. My tinctures and infusions and pretty eggs 😍. Tomorrow is shipping day so I’m working hard to get as much accomplished as possible since this will likely be the last mail run with a snow machine. Next week’s packages will likely be walked out on our backs.
Any orders placed today through the shop for balms, tinctures, or infusions will ship tomorrow. If you’re after baskets, check out my highlight reel for ones that are ready to ship. If you claim one of them today it will ship tomorrow. Any new ordered baskets will ship next week and be the first ones to go on a hike.
Have you tried either of the tinctures of calendula infusion yet? I know I’ve sent out quite a bit 💕. If you haven’t and are interested in more info, slide for info on each. What strikes your fancy? Baskets, balms, infusions, or tinctures?
Our holy grail, skin saving multitasker. We use it after cleansing and moisturizing for the most supple skin, all throughout the day to boost hydration, to set makeup, soothe sunburns and any irritation, and add it to emulsify any masks.
