This question is so interesting. Go head- think about something in your life that you want to shift a little, or a challenge you are facing. What does future you have to say about it? 💫 she’s so much wiser than the gurus, isn’t she?!!!
I visited one of my happy places today, @barnboardstore .
When I first started framing my artwork in barn board I got the boards from my in-laws barn. As demand for my artwork grew I needed a constant source. After using a few places that had limited stock I found barn board heaven. When I first started to choose boards it was daunting and I had a lot to learn but I never felt judged by their staff, everybody was so happy to help. I no longer need much help but it warms my heart when I overhear people who come into the store for the first time being helped so thoroughly and watching them experience the same relief that I first experiences years ago. This is not sponsored, I just truly believe that great businesses should get the credit they deserve. Thank you Mike and all of the others who work at the store. My artistic journey wouldn’t be as interesting or enjoyable without you and your product.
What kind of generosity could create a 170-year bond between two peoples separated by thousands of miles?
In a small Irish town of Midleton, in east Cork, there is a sculpture called Kindred Spirits. It consists of 20 feet tall feathers arranged in a circle.
The sculpture was unveiled in 2017. 170 years later the Irish still remember of ‘the small big donation’ that the Choctaw Nation made in their worst times to ease the suffering of people during the Irish Famine.
In 1847, people in Ireland were dying of hunger. Having been deprived of their homeland in Mississippi and banished to Oklahoma, the Choctaw were themselves starving and dying in harsh condition. Yet when Oklahoma authorities told the Choctaw that Irish people were starving, they helped donated around $170, well over $5,000 in present-day money.

Today was pastries for parents at school. Parents come in and hang with their kid(s) and eat pastries. #gofigurethename#iskippedthepastrypart#qt instead
But sitting there and talking to Lola, I was just feeling GRATEFUL. That the kids are #healthy and #happy . That they are #goodpeople with #bighearts . She told me that until she is "working," she will always want to snuggle with me. Even in college. #lifeisgood
Life doesn't always end up as we planned, but learning to be grateful for what we DO have is half the battle.
Find something you are grateful for today, and post it below!!! It can be ANYTHING! 😁

Ok about this person... Big Matt aka Daughtaaa. If any of you get to know me and spend long enough time with me, you know I will give you a nickname and it will be rediculous AND it will stick. So our nicknames for each other is Daughtaaa. We are probably the only two people in the world that will respond if someone calls us that, and he said it would never stick, HA!
So in the first photo: there are so many things happening and then there is the obvious... I dont even have to say more.
As for the rest of the photos: this is FRIENDSHIP at its finest. The biggest kid I have ever met. Matt will probably be saying to himself "heightest" if he is reading this. So silly and I can get him to do the most redonkulous things and we laugh a ton. The British California kid. I instantly knew we would be friends when the accents came out. In most of my friendships, the strong ones are the ones that always carry conversations in accents that we don't even know what our real voices sound like 😆
Anywhos, he is one of my favorite people to ever have worked with and the best person to chill out the vibe or bring humor to bad situations. And the one person I was so glad to have kept me company on one of the worst days of my life in China (Which he likely didn't know about). All I want to say is THANKS MAN! Cheers brodaaa 🍻 I threw in the last photo just for extra emphasis that there are no camera tricks!
