This just needs some finishing touches and I’m done with this handmaiden dress. Will be remaking the snood out of the same red material as the undersleeves (its super stretchy). Also need to remove the velcro from the sash (so many pulls all over the dress from velcro) and potentially add another press stud to the hood. Eventually I would like to remake the whole thing from ombréd velvet (the undersleeves are only glued in for this purpose), but this isn’t bad considering what I had to work with!
First mini-corset looks pretty good. It's like real ones but tiny, it's fully lined! it's bit all for barbie because of the seams but that can be easily fixed for the upcoming designs. It's not for Frankie's body shape but she looks lovely anyway. Need xtra small grommets and then let's start making mini corsets in different fabrics!
Finally on top of my assessments so a little sewing was in order. I thought I might have another fiddle with this handmaiden dress, was mostly keen to work out the hood. Still needs more work but it’s taking shape! (The hood is made from the body of another Hidden Queen doll dress.)
