I made banana bread the other night and only found out it was NOT vegan AFTER I carefully replaced the egg and oil with healthier, plant based options and it baked for 50 minutes filling my house with that sweet, sweet aroma. I didn’t even get a bite. While I’m vigilant in checking ingredients for the past few years (and usually bake from scratch, but didn’t this time because LAZY), I somehow slipped here. WELL... fast forward to today and the best cousin EVER @__jessisgirl_ ordered and shipped two mini loaves from @sensitivesweets in California! 🏆 I love you, Jess! Best surprise ever! #PNP
Better day today, more productive with everything and yummy food 😊Burned more than I expected to today and didn't want to overload myself with food late in the day so ending in a 1300 calorie deficit, I can save the extra 300 for another time when I go over 💁🏼
Awesome gym workout after my bowl of porridge and banana, and then a protein shake 😍
Lunch was my fav, love picky lunches like this 🥗🧀🍗 Melba toast, cheese, ham, Pom Bears and a cereal bar .
Dinner was amazing too! Two fish cakes - one sweet chilli salmon, the other melt in the middle cod, with roasted veg and a few new potatoes 🐟 .
Snacks were shreddies and a muller chocolate fix 🍫 🌾 .
20k steps ✅ Over 3000 calories burnt 🔥 and 1800 in 😍
I LOVE BLUEBERRIES. 💙 I like to think of blueberries as the tiny vibrant superfood packed with antioxidants and essential nutrients. Did you know blueberries are a low calorie density food, which means that it contains fewer calories per volume thus helping “crowd out” processed and refined foods. Lower calorie density foods are whole and natural foods and will help maintain a healthy weight. Compare these calorie densities for reference; white bread = 1,210, potato chips = 2,400, lettuce=65, oatmeal= 280. BIG DIFFERENCES! More health benefits of blueberries include: help with digestion, boost immunity, reduce inflammation, promotes heart health,& good source of fiber/manganese.
Nice light snack (I’m having my lunch in a little bit when I’m at work). Vanilla Goats milk yogurt + organic French vanilla granola from @frazierfarmsmarket + organic banana & cinnamon on top. 💪🏽😋😋 I also have blueberries and strawberries in my fridge but I like this simple classic. #goatsmilkislife#banana
I tried the Jana Banana Bar for my afternoon snack at work today! I’m not usually a big fan of bananas, but I honestly really enjoyed this snack. It has a flavor almost like banana bread and a soft, chewy texture. The peanut butter flavor wasn’t too strong, but added a good flavor to the bar. I also loved the simple ingredients! @janabananabar @eatsnacksack 🥜🍌🐵 #janabananabar#banana#peanutbutter#paleo#vegan#nongmo#glutenfree#2bananasin1#snacksack
Banana Tree, Angel
- Banana Tree Frotiteroles (£5.85) - 5/10
- Warm Chocolate Indo-Fondant (£5.95) - 7.5/10
- Service - 7/10
Overall: 6/10 (We made a repeat visit to Banana Tree in Angel - this time to try out some of their desserts. The “frotiteroles” were crispy banana fritters topped with chocolate and caramel sauce, along with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. They arrived piping hot but were nothing special, and we found their squidgy texture a bit strange. The chocolate fondant was nicer, as it had an oozing chocolate centre and paired well with the coconut ice cream, although the passion fruit seeds were a bizarre inclusion.)
Note: alcohol is served on the premises but not present in any of the desserts.
Day 9 breakfast. Banana pancakes. Sweet enough that you don’t need syrup !! I had mine with avocado and it tasted like butter (I suggest making the batter one pancake at a time.. Blend one egg white and half a banana per pancake. Stir in cinnamon. These cook better on low heat for a longer time)
