Just one of the classic views of half dome.
One big perk of visiting places for sunrise and sunset is peace and quiet—even for a place as popular as Yosemite National Park. Without the usuall sea of people, the park took on a totally different atmosphere. It was all in all just an enjoyable evening—watching the last sun rays glazed over half dome, and breathing in that crisp cold fresh air. Looking forward to my next visit there!

Tiap traveling selalu jadi tahu ada banyak tempat-tempat yang mungkin sebelumnya gak even aware kalau exist tapi ternyata sangat cantik. Contohnya Cuenca ini yang tahu dari teman.
Kemarin juga saat cruise banyak ketemu penumpang dari belahan dunia lain, they talk about their homes and you talk yours. Mereka rekomen tempat-tempat yang gue gak pernah dengar sebelumnya, begitu juga juga cerita bagian-bagian Indonesia yang mereka gak pernah dengar. Talk to others, read, travel, and you'll find some new places to visit and love.
Some days are just better than others. Had the BEST weekend at @guvonhotelsandspas #Kloofzicht : gorgeous scenery, learning to flyfish, beautiful sunset walks along their dams and hills, lovely food at their in-house restaurant AND at @oevermeerbistro (also on-site), all thanks to @chef_chris_tustian & his team.
Special thanks and mention to Refilwe at reception and Jimmy at the restaurants, who win in the service stakes, both being exceptionally friendly and extremely helpful.
Blown away by this gem of a place so close to Jo'burg, offering so much!
Vietnam, 2008... For almost ten years, my multi-talented wife owned a children’s clothing brand and retail store... She sourced and selected all the fabric, designed the clothes and with a manufacturing partnership with Ms. Anh (pictured) produced a really great line of boutique ready children’s apparel... Sophia, our oldest daughter, grew up along the dusty alleys of fabric markets all over Vietnam and China... making friends and creating instant babysitters with her smile and gentle curiosity... I can remember Abbie breast-feeding Sophia, clutching her like a football to her chest with one hand, as she sorted rolls of fabric with the other... All of this done in 96 degree heat... It was incredibly hard work, but rewarding... Flash forward to the now and I am sometimes surprised with Sophia’s openness and kindness, wondering where it came from... and then I find an old picture like this one and realize her warm and open worldview began shortly after she left the womb... She moved to Vietnam when she was six months old... and travelled heavily for years... She knew no different and was surrounded by diversity of every stripe... At the time, many amongst our friends and family thought we were insane—taking a new born to a developing country... And I can’t say I didn’t have my doubts... like when she had a 105 temperature in Ho Chi Minh City and couldn’t keep down water (breast milk literally saved her life)... But I watch her now and see how she cares for people with such authentic tenderness... and how all of her teachers, across different cities and countries all refer to her as “a natural leader”... and I know this early exposure to the world shaped this quality within her... It wasn’t me, surely... No, I am convinced it was the magnificent menagerie of humanity she met along the dusty alleys of places very few people ever see... and fewer still, ever speak of...
