There aren’t many days in a person’s life when they feel completely spoiled but yesterday was that day for me. I am still astounded by the kindness of the entire staff at @tyndalehouse who made my visit so very special. .
I walked in the door and saw this beautiful display of my books and spent the whole day with the kindest, most generous and wonderful people you could ever imagine. .
I believe it’s important to choose wisely who you work with. You want to spend your hours with people who make you better... and these people make me so much better. What a gift they are to me. ♥️ .
My new book releases June 5th and I sure can’t wait to share it with you!
#TBT to when I was with these lovers having one of the best nights of my life.
We remember what it was like to be stressed out to the max and, yet, we survived! Though we’ve grown and left those tea filled/coffee fueled days behind us, I still find myself missing the crazy and life changing adventure that was studying at #USF .
None of what I do would be possible without those days. None of today would be worthwhile without the love and support from @rakshinda_shah and @sarah.scruff.leo.adventures 🖤 So incredibly grateful for your friendship.
So lets invade my private spot where I spill inspiration down on the pages. Thats my quiet work ground for the 2nd day of #BAWritingLife challenge!
Mainly, I've got everything I possibly need. The tiniest book shelf which is growing day-by-day, all colors highlighters, and of course my kinder toys collection. Tryna keep it tidy so nothing remains up the desk (yeah I know - tidy writers... We do exist)
I've my little HP printer ready to manifest my stories to the physical realm and the drawers contain immense amounts of paperwork and notebooks regarding my big projects.
Ooh, my laptop is missing tho, cause I'm currently at the army (believe me, you don't wanna see my workspace at base).
And that sums it all. Stay tuned for day 3 tommorow! 💕
Are you looking for ways to end your novel? 📚 in today’s video I share 10 Different Ways You Can End Your Book. Swing by and let me know which ending you tend to write most! #writinginspiration#bibliophile#writingadvice
Today is all about supporting my young author @tiarra_melanin for her book signing today at Manor High School!
A little each day goes a long way!
Every morning I wake up about 5am to work for 2 hours for myself before I have to start getting ready for work with my "Investor" a.k.a. the J.O.B. (I stay in business mode, so Investor is more appealing to me than "job", but at the end of the day, if you're an entrepreneur with a job - they really are an investor)
I'm grateful for the opportunity to do both and when the opportunity arises, I'll have learned skills to take with me in self-employment. So take note of your experiences with your Investor, there are valuable lessons that you can take with you such as:
3. Facilitating Projects/Meetings
4. Handling Issues
5. Meeting deadlines
6. Working with others (Public/Clients/Co-Workers)
and so much more!!
Depending on your occupation, there may be other jewels that you are being trained in that you can carry with you too. Take advantage of the opportunity!!
Back to my mornings - some of the things I do in the morning for my business consist of:
1. Prayer (Pray in general, but pray over your business!)
2. Repeating Positive Affirmations geared towards myself, life and the goals I've set. (I had stopped for a while, not sure why, but I just restarted and it makes a difference so I'm so glad that I'm back to it.)
3. Reading (educational, self-help, biographical, etc.)
4. Reviewing my planner (Write down what needs to get done)
5. Updating or setting new goals
6. Posting on social media
7. Working on a chapter in my latest novel
7. Writing in my journal
I get it in and work on writing and my goals whenever I can but so much can happen in a day. You may get home too late to work on anything, but at-least if you got started on some things in the morning you will have contributed to your goals for the day. Of course we all want a full day to work on our dreams, but if you do a little bit each day, it adds up! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Do you work on your goals in the morning or at night? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
