Questions about tattoos are easily the most abundant questions I get. In this post I’m going to answer all the common questions, and if you have others you can ask in the comments below! If you’re tagged below, please read!
Q: Can I use one of your illustrations as a tattoo?
A: Go for it! All I ask is that you tag me as the original artist in any photos posted on social media, either by you or by the tattoo artist. One thing to keep in mind is that my style doesn’t really translate into most tattoos; it’s too detailed and intricate. So while you can use my art as a basis for the concept you want, your tattoo artist will likely have to adjust it stylistically.
Q: Can you design my next tattoo?
A: Yes and no. As I mentioned above, my style doesn’t really work for most tattoos. However, in place of a tattoo design what I can do is a custom illustration. This can lay out the foundations of the concept you had in mind and would just need to be adjusted stylistically by your tattoo artist. Plus, you’d get a physical artwork instead of just a digital file. You can order a custom illustration by going to amilliontinylines.com (link in my bio), selecting Commission Me from the menu, and clicking on Watercolor Illustration. All ordering info is in the description of that listing, and you can check pricing by selecting different sizes. Thanks to @steepwaterstudios for letting me use his commissioned illustration/tattoo design as an example (above)!
Q: Can you just draw this out for me for free?
So I did this drawing of James Brown using BIC CRYSTAL 1.6mm pen for the first time.
I have had this idea in my head for a long time and I have finally got around to doing it.
I will have the video up some time next week. If you have any questions about the drawing or pens comment below.
MORE THAN JUST A PEN
“Wild” was inspired by the eerie yet calming howling of wolves I love hearing while out in the mountains. Hearing them feels as if I’ve been accepted into the natural landscape as just another wild creature. It makes me feel at home when I am far from it. Prints of Wild are available on amilliontinylines.com (link in my bio), as well as the original! And I’m planning on getting stickers of him soon!
