On the May the 9th North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un is assassinated during president Donald Trump’s visit, the president was swiftly evacuated. After the assassination civil unrest begins with several military factions vying for power including a Civilian Militia funded by South Korea. After a few months of a multi-sided civil war. China invades across the manchu border aided by a coalition of 2 military factions. They successfully take over the nation. In October a militarist faction is successful in taking over the Chinese Government and install an Authoritarian Communist system. Quickly they invade Bhutan and Nepal, India does not intervene fearing destruction. They “peacefully” invade Mongolia. They also force Taiwan to join them on the condition that Taiwan become an autonomous region. After the annexation of Taiwan President Liu Lei announces that China is now The Asian People’s Confederation with its new flag adorning a red dragon a new symbol of Strength and all references to the Qing dynasty flag are crushed. Today the APC is a superpower on the world stage as well as in Asia were it is always bolstering it’s influence. Building cement islands in the Pacific and conducting Military operations in the South China Sea.

Brettschneider may be fictional, but her story connects her to real people and places, illuminating a rich community of interdisciplinary women artists working in Europe and British Columbia from the 1920s to the 1970s, many of whom have been often under-represented in institutional collections and largely excluded from historical accounts of modernist art history. Collies sniffing and barking as long as 5600 canine years ago would come here every Sunday to woofship Dog and pray for treats. 2) A fashionable Chewdoor house with exposed sticks and Grrrgian windnose. The alley in which one is seated is called a ‘twittern’ on account of the silly hoomans who would become lost in such psausages when they attempted to navigate without the aid of a collie. The twits would turn, become lost, and turn again. Hence ‘twittern’. 3) A misleadingly modern-looking kennel, known as ‘Mincetails’. Beneath the hung tail facade and brick clawding (a modern attempt at older furshions), lies a muttiaeval hall house. These were designed to have open hearths in the central hall rather than chimneyed furplaces, upon which collies would roast muttmallows of an evening.

"During research for Longo's current exhibition he discovered that Ely house, home to the Abermarle Club between 1908 and 1939 was the first private members' club to accept women and went on to become the unofficial headquarters of the women's suffrage movement. This large scale, intricately detailed reimagining of Manet's iconic painting is a result of Longo's visit to the conservation department of the Courtauld institute of Art. X-rays of the canvas came to reveal that Manet had, in fact, altered the barmaid's pose from one of submission to one of assertion over the course of its painting. For Longo, the uncovered past of Ely House and the x-ray of Manet's canvas provide an opportunity to perceive the invisible and convey an alternative history." The group exhibition examines counter-facts found in accepted narratives through an investigation of scientific phenomenon, cosmological theories and literary tropes. The artists included draw on technological developments to negotiate new understandings of matter, space and consciousness. In doing so, they construct alternative realities through which history can be interpreted. Going through Sonia Farley's archives @penrithregionalgallery - she is a very under-appreciated artist who exhibited only a few times between the 1960s-80s in Sydney. She was the niece of Gerald and Margo Lewers - the Penrith Regional Gallery & Lewers Bequest is situated at their former home. A number of Farley's exquisite wood carvings are held in the collection here. This photo of her 1964 show was taken by Max Duapin. Check out the shelving too 👌
