The Twentieth Primarch
Alpharius Omegon, also known as the "Aleph Null," "The Hydra," the "Threefold Serpent," "The Final Configuration" and the "Last Primarch", was the Primarch of the Alpha Legion Space Marine legion. In truth, Alpharius Omegon was actually a pair of identical twin brothers, one named Alpharius and the other Omegon whom will take turns playing the role of Alpharius or maybe at the same time.. or maybe not at all.
There is little recorded information on the biographical background of the twin Primarchs or where their homeworld originated. When first discovered, Alpharius was already the leader of a confederation of human star systems whose fleet of warships, no match in size or scale to Imperial vessels, managed through trickery and ambush to lay low one of the outlying Luna Wolves Battleships. Responding to this unforgivable defeat, Horus himself and his fleet gave chase, only to find themselves mired in ambush after ambush, tricked into deadly traps and chasing shadows until Horus' own flagship, the mighty Vengeful Spirit, came under attack.
In the ensuing confrontation, the Luna Wolves smashed the enemy fleet's desperate attack aside, but in the confusion a single assassin broke into the flagship, and through stealth and murder reached the command throne where he slaughtered Horus's Justaerin bodyguards before Horus himself realized that this assassin was his brother. Alpharius was subsequently welcomed into the folds of Imperium and given The Alpha Legion to command.
Alpharius is the Master of Spies, Intrigue and Deception, striking through convoluted plots so twisted and turned that no one, not even the agents really know what is going on. No one, not even his brothers are really sure where Alpharius is, or who Alpharius really is due to the habit of using multiple body doubles almost all the time. The term "I am Alpharius" is the most popular phrase in the Alpha Legion and it was tradition for legionaries to perform plastic surgeries on their faces to look like their Primarch. Many enemies have dropped their guard only to realize too late that Alpharius is here, or maybe not?
Had a game of 30k last weekend, my Alpha Legion vs a mixed force of loyalist Sons of Horus and Imperial Fists. It was a loss for me, but that’s alright - for me, it’s important that I was able to get in a game of 30k and field a (mostly)painted army. #horusheresy#alphalegion#playing30k#hardforheresy
Working on some Alpha Legion tonight, magnetising weapon options starts off fun but soon becomes an absolute chore... however it’s really nice to have all of the options available to you and that’s very Alpha Legion. #alphalegion#cataphractii
Alpha Legion vs Death Guard
Alphas ravaged the 14th almost killing them to a man.
Mvp from my perspective would have to be @jt_miniature_painting 's Sicaran duo. Devastating.
Mvp on my end probably was the Delegatus who as a last stand slew plenty of blue boys but nowhere near enough.
Okay this is what I was able to finish before work. Captain Yasha Loyalist Alpha Legion Chapter. 80% finished. Touch up & Base work to be done tomorrow.
He was a rush Job but come Monday he , a Librarian, a Plasma Devastator squad, 5 Tactical Marines & 10 Terminators will be painted up. A Mortis Dreadnought & Landraider are already 90% painted. Now to get ready for work.
The Harrowing bringing the fight to the Xenos tonight, unfortunately a loss on points, but a great game.
James's Eldar are always a challenge and tonight was no exception, the combination of their rapid maneuverability and negatives to hit are a real tricky beast to overcome. Still a really really fun game and I got to bring the newest additions to the battle, the Aggressors and the Venator freshly built and painted.
