Carrot Cake Smoothie
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 cup ice
Ask me about my secret recipe
1 medium carrot cut into chunks
½ cup crushed pineapple in juice
2 Tbsp. chopped raw walnuts
½ tsp. ground cinnamon
Place almond milk, ice, my secret recipe, carrot, pineapple, walnuts, and cinnamon in blender; cover. Blend until smooth.
Sometimes it’s hard to resist the stuff being eaten all around me, especially when traveling and spending time with friends and family. I whipped up something sweet but healthy so I didn’t feel deprived. Plus it was a tiring day taking little ones to the zoo so it felt like a great way to end a sweet day! I just mashed up a banana and threw a few things in. Then I microwaved it for 20 seconds and added a few more things. Here are some approximations;
One mashed up 🍌 ✅
tablespoon or two of natural peanut butter ✅ 3-4 Tablespoons cocoa powder ✅ 1/3 cup almond milk ✅ 2 Tablespoons 100% maple syrup ✅ MICROWAVE to soften up, depending on the thickness of your nut butter. ADD a little wheat or oat flour and about 1/3 cup rolled oats and stir it all up. Organic Almond Milk
2 cups raw almonds (soaked overnight)
1/4 tspn cinnamon
1/8 tspn ginger
1/8 tspn nutmeg
a pinch of sea salt
1 tspn of organic vanilla extract or the insides of a vanilla bean
4-6 organic pitted dates
2-4cups of purified water
Like my beloved mother, I don’t use exact recipes so this is a guesstimate... I put everything in a blender and then pour in a nutbag and squeeze! Add water to thin if it’s too thick. You can sub raw honey for the sweetener because that’s delicious too!
My friend Lisa uses her grandmother’s honey from Italy instead of dates. My gorgeous niece has an allergy to pitted fruits so honey would work well for her too. This milk froths well for cappuccinos and as a morning beverage substitute. It’s very soothing and so much better than store bought. Make it as sweet as you like. My sacred arts... Home-making nutmilk and protein balls... Here there is my recipe for ALMOND MILK:
-1 cup raw almonds, soaked overnight
-soaked dates to naturally sweeten (you can use agave nectar, raw honey or any other yummy & healthy sweetener)
-1 tbs coconut oil + pinch seasalt (inspired by @my.naked.life 😍🙏🌺)
-3 cups of purified water (thank you @espring.amway to have changed my water supply in the best way possible 💕, thank you @amandalahugs for the recommendation 🙏🌺, love ya)

Mmhmmm. Have you ever really thought about how weird it is that humans drink the breast milk of another species. Milk that is specifically designed to turn a tiny baby calf into a heckin' giant cow. That's weird. And once the calf is no longer a baby it stops drinking milk. What's also weird is the countries with the highest dairy consumption also have the highest rates of osteoporosis (dairy may be high in calcium but in digestion it strips your body of its calcium in neutralising the acidity). Weird.
