Lots of people are suffering from stomach problems nowadays. Whether it’s some form of IBS or IBD
The main symptoms include •stomach cramps
•indigestion •diarrhoea •constipation
If you are suffering from any of the above symptoms I would recommend eating easy to digest food such as banana, gluten-free foods, melon, avocado, omega3 food as a start.
There could be lots of different causes including •yeast overgrowth •food allergies •lack of enzymes •untreated infection **what we would do**
•test for yeast overgrowth •food allergies •bacteria
After the tests we would make recommendations based on your results including diet change, supplements, exercise and anything else that may show up on the test results. **inbox me for further details** #allergies#allergicreaction#ibs#ibsawareness#glutenfree#healthyeating#healthissues#intolerance#foodallergies#digestion#digestivehealth#digestiveenzymes
Helloooooo. Sorry for the quiet, for those of you who have seen my story will know (and thank you to those who got in touch with some love!) but if you missed it, here’s why...
On Monday I woke up with a severe allergic reaction to something, I thought it was mozzie bites but apparently this is a proper allergic reaction, actual swollen face, arms, legs, the lot! So it could be anything. I was hospitalised for 24 hours and given a dose of steroids, antibiotics and pain killer. The itching and heat were unbearable. I’m now home, still on medication and having to recharge a whole lot. It was terrifying and now it’s just frustrating, I have a sneaky suspicion it was some pollen but hopefully some follow ups will help shed some light on this episode.
I’ll be back soon, guys! ✨
I am so proud of myself. For just over a week I had been redoing a section of my house. It may not sound like a big deal to most, but for someone who has never done a project like this on her own it was huge for me to know I can sand, spackle, paint, edge, remove doors and door knobs, etc. on my own. I’ve always been an independent somewhat strong-willed person (I can hear my parents laughing and then crying as they reminisce my bull headedness), but being chronically ill makes this different. I don’t have the energy or the stamina I once did, and I honestly wondered if after a day in I would quit from sheer additional pain. I surprised myself. So here’s my almostttt finished new room. 😊
In other news, I had my bi-annual follow up with my allergist today. Guess who has a latex allergy? 🙋🏻♀️ My body covered from literal head to toe in rashes, hives, or red swollen irritated skin clued me in last week that the paint was bothering me, but I just kind of ignored it because of said stubbornness. 😬 The problem has yet to resolve though, so they were able to see even 4 days after how severe my reaction was. My doctor said that I was very lucky that I had my Xolair injection (for hives) Monday morning before I started painting. Had I not, my reaction likely would have been much worse, and she suspects I could have gone into anaphylactic shock and/or had an asthma attack in addition. They’re loading me up with some steroid cream and I’m banned from future painting and all things latex. But hey! I finished a big thing this last week. 😆 🎉
If you suspect you may have an allergy, there are a number of different diagnostic tools which can be used to identify the culprit. Such as keeping a food diary and a record of symptoms – These can then be analyzed to see if a pattern becomes apparent. Or you could try carrying out an elimination diet and food challenge - This involves implementing a hypoallergenic diet by removing foods commonly found to be irritants from the diet for a period of time (usually 1 week – 1 month), before re-introducing them one by one and monitoring reactions.
Sensitive Skin Sensation #10 : Itching Powder in Your Panties
Sensitive Skin Awareness
Allergies and skin intolerances can cause redness and itching especially in intimate regions. Women with sensitive skin must be extra-attentive in choosing feminine care products, as vaginal and vulva tissue are more receptive to the transport of chemicals and hormones. The vulva and vaginal tissues are structurally different from the skin of the rest of the body. For example, these tissues are more hydrated and more permeable, which means that this body area is potentially more vulnerable to exposure to toxic and irritant chemicals. The internal parts of the vulva and vagina are covered with mucous membranes, which play an immune defense function, creating a barrier against the pathogenic agents that could lead to disease. The vagina walls are covered with numerous blood and lymph vessels, allowing direct transfer of chemicals to the circulatory system. The chemicals absorbed through the vagina are distributed more easily throughout the body without being metabolized. It is possible to develop an allergy to almost any chemical that comes into contact with the vulva.
Products that May Cause an Allergic Reaction
Choose all products that come into close contact with your vagina, wisely. Avoid harmful chemicals that may provoke irritation, redness, or inflammation. Before applying, read the ingredients contained in products such as the following:
Scented soaps, foam baths, shampoos
Powders for washing and softening
Deodorants (including intimate washes).
Hair removal with a razor, creams or waxing often irritates the skin causing swelling, redness, and in some cases an annoying external vaginal pruritus.
Your birth control pill may cause intense itching, because it changes the hormone level of the woman and can cause vaginal dryness.

This is the deoderant that gave me a horrible allergic reaction after just one use. I got rashes and swollen, painful lymph nodes in both armpits. I thought natural deoderant was supposed to reduce your chances of this kind of thing happening. Never using again or recommending to anyone.
This is how my skin looks like right after using a well known hyaluronic acid gel this morning 😱😭 #hives#swolleneyes
As a skincare formulator for Lémore, I love to test out new products and find ways to create a product that is free of synthetic preservatives, fragrances, and emulsifiers but perform just as well. And this is what happened within 5 min of applying this as the only product on clean skin. The reaction to this product is everywhere, including my eye and neck area.
Ingredient list of the product:
aqua / Water / Eau, Phenoxyethanol, Calcium Pantothenate, Sodium Hyaluronate
The first ingredient is distilled water followed by a preservative Phenoxyethanol and vitamin b5 and hyaluronic acid. What surprises me about this ingredient list is that the actives (vitamin b5 and hyaluronic acid) are lower in concentration compared to the preservative. What this suggests is that the preservative Phenoxyethanol is added in concentration at or greater than 1%.
Phenoxyethanol became popular as a preservative in skin care and cosmetic products as a replacement for Parabens so that the companies can market the products as “Paraben-Free.” #greenwashing
Exposure to Phenoxyethanol has been linked to allergic reactions ranging from eczema and hives to anaphylaxis. Mixture of Phenoxyethanol and Parabens may lead to more severe allergic reactions than Phenoxyethanol alone. Reactions only occur in the area of application and subsides after avoidance of the product causing irritation.
What’s even worse is that in 2008, the FDA warned consumers not to purchase Mommy’s Bliss Nipple Cream. Phenoxyethanol in the cream was depressing the central nervous system and causing vomiting and diarrhea in breast feeding infants 😨 Symptoms of a depressed nervous system include a decrease in infant’s appetite, difficulty waking the infant, limpness of extremities and change in skin color.
🔸Key Takeaway🔸 If you are allergic to Phenoxyethanol or are breast-feeding, please read labels and avoid products/vaccines containing Phenoxyethanol. The allergic effects may be enhanced if combined with Parabens so skip products containing these

Having sensitive skin = getting hives that look like hickies when something irritates it. I used to get embarrassed but it happens so much I don’t anymore. Today’s offender was lotion with sunscreen that I’ve used before with no problems #angryskin#allergiesgotmelike#allergicreaction#ouch#bleh
