What practice looks like. It's not all sellable. There are casualties along the way. When I first started, I had a hard time charging money for what I considered my passion. Or struggled putting a value on it. I was amazed anyone wanted my art...I was so thrilled to share it, I would really undercut myself. As I put so many hours into learning, practicing, perfecting, pushing myself, and depriving myself of sleep...I am getting better at putting fair market value on items. Especially as I take what I learn and put my own style and twist on it. See? Old dogs CAN learn new tricks. Here I am working on building a flower from the center out...using teeny drops at a time to create a center of a flower that will look more realistic...yet still be abstracty enough for my own happiness 😁. #behindthescenes#storyofmylife#artlife#artstory#findbeautywhereyouare#alcoholink
After starting on this piece earlier this week and not liking the direction it was taking, I decided to step away and think about how I could rework it. It was feeling stiff and rigid so, after sitting with it for a few days, I tried my washing technique and it did the trick! Softened the sky and beach perfectly!
