Mothers taking time to reflect after a meditation, at our “Celebration Motherhood” event. It was so beautiful to see so many mums finally taking some time for themselves, not normally something us mothers prioritize!! But by looking after ourselves, we are in fact looking after our family. Come join us at our “Mindfulness for Mums” course in May led by @harvestinghappiness123.
Tobruk House Albert Park, 2017 from my ‘Behind the Facade’ project.
The Rats of Tobruk withstood tank attacks, artillery barrages, and aerial bombings by German and Italian forces lead by General Erwin Rommel for eight long months from April 1941.
Living in dug-outs, caves, and crevasses they endured the desert’s searing heat, the bitterly cold nights, and hellish dust storms. With determination, bravery, and humour, the defenders of Tobruk did not surrender, they did not retreat. In so doing they became a source of inspiration during some of the war’s darkest days and achieved lasting fame as the “Rats of Tobruk”.
