The Alaska Highway strikes again. Thankfully, no one was injured or killed. Both lanes were closed for over four hours. In that time, I took refuge at a truck brake-check area a few hundred meters back. There I made and ate a scrumptious salad, read part of a book, took a couple walks, swung my golf swing trainer, and did some stretches. .
If something isn’t going as planned, look for a new opportunity and deal with the present circumstances in the best way you can manage. Things will change for the better-always. I love each and every one of you. Keep on adventuring, and be excellent to each other! #alaskahighway#britishcolumbia#almosttofortsaintjohn#nextstopliardhotsprings
On 01 April Pete and I began our journey to drive him home from our current resident state of Alaska to my home state of North Carolina. From the first day on the ALCAN to 14 days later on our final stretch to beach at Pine Knoll Shores, NC it was a journey. As it always goes best layed plans until first contact. He was a trooper thru and thru and wouldn't have done it without him.
We're at home for a few weeks as my brother and I rebuild the front end of the truck, accept our house hold goods shipment, and attend my cousin's wedding. After that I drive JoJo to CA to get our flatbed and camper.
And all this time Michele is back in AK still grinding away. We knew this was the next step in our journey and it had to happen this way. Next time we drive from AK in June we'll be rolling together.
