One of my biggest highlights so far this year was just this past week going on my first safari with @gondwanagr! Such a dream seeing lions literally walking out of the mist 15 feet away from our car at 6:30 am. And that was just the very beginning.
If you’ve dreamt of going on safari, make sure to watch my “Gondwana Safari” highlight for more! This was the view from our stunning room 🙌🏻 Already dreaming of the day I can go back.
It's tough to describe the feeling of facing down a bull elephant in the bush. Throughout history elephants have been highly regarded, often seen as deities that symbolize strength and wisdom. In Africa, they are seen as the impartial chiefs of the bush settling all disputes. If there is one experience that will always you take from a safari in Africa it's getting to witness these amazing creatures. A safari in Africa will humble you. #TheWorldPursuit
A safari is a family affair! When you’re ready to start planning your own East African safari, I can arrange custom adventures up to 10% off retail prices. Send me an email or DM for more information. #safariadventure
After spending a few days in Johannesburg, tomorrow we head off for a week long safari to @maratabasouthafrica and @lionsandsgamereserve. I’ll be posting updates along the way, and hopefully we’ll be able to share some awesome sightings like these mating leopards at @lionsandsgamereserve from last year! #SafariTrue
Our last week in South Africa, we finally got to cross off a big bucket list item: an true African safari (well, we actually did a few!) Our very first day, we woke up well before sunrise - a first on this trip - and made our way with our guide to the gates of the Kruger. It’s hard to put into a few words (or any number of words for that matter) what that day meant to us, so we’ll just start off by sharing one of our first intimate, no-zoom-needed run-ins with these beautiful creatures. A magical moment frozen in time with these gentle, strong female ellies that we will be hard-pressed to forget. 🐘
Did you know? Since 2015, African-Born Safaris has helped feed close on 700 school children each year, through our safaris and fund raising events!
We partnered with a fantastic organization, @thelunchboxfund, that is helping change the lives of thousands of school children in South Africa.
For every guest that travels on safari with us, we donate enough meals for a child to eat at school for a whole year!
