What a day!?
A work deadline had me crunching until late last night and then in early again today. Submitted the work at 5:00, called my dad at 5:01, and I was heading to visit he and my mom at the hospital before 5:30.
My mom is going to have an unplanned craniotomy tomorrow morning to remove more of the tumor. Scary stuff but we are of course optimistic that this could be just another step closer toward winning this fight against cancer. She is such a strong and inspiring woman; I am fortunate to get to call her "mom."

I’m still super happy about this and how it shows you can have yummy food for any occasion on a plant based diet without missing out. This is 100% vegan food from my baby shower ☺️ We had caramelised onion and hummus sandwiches, cream cheese and cucumber sandwiches, ham + lettuce + mayonnaise sandwiches, fairy bread, a fruit platter, chocolate crunch slice, peanut butter balls, coconut macaroons, spinach and cheese vol au vents, chips, lollies, dips and puffy dogs. We had regular fizzy drinks and my Aunty also made an incredible punch. So much love 💖
Yesterday I was really struggling (and still am) with energy, my fridge is pretty much empty but I HAD a jar of peanut butter and some frozen blueberries so I made this to graze on.
> organic #peanutbutter (spoonful)
> coconut butter (spoonful)
> cinnamon (pinch)
> vanilla powder ( bigger pinch)
> frozen #blueberries (handful - raspberries would work well too + add in some cacao powder!)
> macadamias (handful)
> coconut flakes
Mix the butters together. Add in powders then bluebs. A mug works well! Eat straight away no need to set as the blueberries are cool. 😎
bit of a cheeky one (in more ways than one 🙊) - I’ve had a bit of a topsy tervy time this weekend and it’s given me a lot to think about re: my training. I went bouldering a couple of times this last week and I really really enjoyed the challenge it presented and it made me miss doing gymnastics. SO I’m thinking of mixing it up a little with my old exercise-routiney-thing and doing a little bit of a less structured, more randomy type thing... if that makes sense? 😬😅 I’m not sure what I’m planning yet but I’m going to have a v productive day today and get lots of uni work and other work done and think about a new training plan - let me know if you have any ideas on how to balance things! 🌈✨
