How beautiful, @_paperbacks_and_postcards_ used the natural light to create these little squares of joy. I often find myself kicking myself when I have missed the perfect light, usually due to stitching frantically or rocking a babe for an over due nap. Never the less I intend to put some time aside in May to really indulge in my creative person. Now if only I could keep these children still for long enough 🤷🏼♀️
These last few days have been an absolute blur but today it's back to normal life for me - and back to work mode. The weekend was spent at the #FleaRetreat and then I had a little overnight jolly to Reading on Monday. But now, I have a to-do list as long as my arm and am wishing I was back on the beach, where we were on Saturday for one of our sessions. But, it's peak of the week today - downhill to the weekend!
Can we please bring back the sunshine of last week? It's bloody freezing here today! Also can someone please persuade the hubby that we should have a pretty pink door?! 💕 Layering up for the school run and then have a very unexciting day of emails and project work ahead of me (day job projects hence the lack of excitement!). I need to find some motivation this week - all I feel like doing is hibernating until my maternity leave starts 🙈
This flipping lunatic 🙈🤣 The other day, in a public toilet with C (again), I was attempting to discreetly shove a fannybuster up, while at the same time distracting her from looking by asking her to guard my handbag on the floor, and simultaneously holding the door-that-wouldn't-lock shut with my other hand... Needless to say, the distraction failed miserably, she clocked me and shouted (whyyyyy do they always shout 🙈😭) 'MUMMY, WHAT ARE YOU PUTTING IN YOUR MINNIE?! IS IT HUNGRY?!' 🙈🔫 I swear I could start a new hashtag with the sh*t she's coming out with atm 🤣 #thingsmychildsaysinpublictoilets
Is spring back yet?!
I'm so sorry, you can blame me for the disappearance of the sun. I got overexcited and bought some summer dresses and tops on the weekend. Oh, and I cracked out the sandals. We might as well just accept that it's winter again.
Still, lots to look forward to ... I popped a blog post up last night with our upcoming plans (including Disney on Ice this weekend ... eek!). There's a link in my bio if you fancy a read.
Third time lucky for our trip to @legolandwindsor at the weekend. Unfortunately, we were snowed off for the last two dates on our calendar. To make up for it the sun was shining on the hottest day of the year so far. Enabling us to don t-shirts and sunhats ready for a day of exploring.
With all new attractions to visit this year. With the LEGO Reef offering builders of all ages the chance to create their own LEGO fish that would then appear on the large wall ahead of them. Whilst the new LEGO Ninjago 4D Movie is the perfect place to take a seat and step inside the world of Ninjago. Watch out for the water and special effects!
Why take 80 days to travel around the world when the LEGO Miniland has it all on show for you. The recent USA additions are to be marvelled at. With the Hollywood sign possibly my favourite as you can see the Statue of Liberty in water behind it (you'll never get those two attractions together in real life)
Such a fantastic day. Not sure who was more tired us or the kids but Piglet certainly did her fair share of walking, not wanting to miss out on the fun.
We stopped at @lowwoodbay on Sunday night which is an amazing hotel, I loved all the extra little touches in the room like the @purelakes toiletries and @grasmeregingerbread . We ate in Blue Smoke On The Bay which was immense, couldn’t fault the food or service. We went for a swim in the pool and of course Lucas loved the humongous bed that fit all three of us in with lots of space to spare!x
Reflect ~ Today has been a very emotional day. One of my closest childhood friends had to say goodbye to her husband. George was just 26 years old, the funeral today was at times heart wrenching, to see my friend suffer after only marrying 9 weeks ago. Though also heart warming to see the crowds of people gather for such a kind and caring soul. George was diagnosed with bowel cancer, though was told several times it was just stomach pains and IBS. This was due to him being such a young fit and healthy 26 year old. He fought amazingly the last year, I only wish I spent more time with George and Claire together in this time but such is life, the children and family keep you busy. I’m listing this here because maybe if diagnosed sooner it may have had some effect on George’s battle. Please always go for a second opinion, always ask questions and trust your instincts. Tonight I held my babies a little tighter and realised the world isn’t going to stop turning if I don’t get all the things ticked off on my to do list. In memory of George Hands ♥️
The first post about our family holiday in Bude is on the blog this evening if you fancy a peek at what we got up to.
It was certainly an action-packed first few days and even though we visit every year we still found plenty of cool new things to do as well as doing some of our favourite traditions.
I think this might just be my favourite photo from our whole trip-my little tribe gazing out to sea against a backdrop of a clear blue sky and a turquoise ocean.
Bude is absolutely our favourite place to visit in the UK (so far anyway-we still have lots to explore!). Where is your happy place? .

A morning at the museum with these two 🦕 This boy is a Dino genius & was walking around educating me about the species! Little Didi enjoyed pointing out the butterflies & stuffed bears but then continued to practise her running skills,🙈😬😂
So today we (@extraordinary_chaos @goingonanadventureblog @letstalkmommy @lifeasourlittlefamily)are spending a fun day @stannesbeachhut in #lythamstannes we are gossiping, sharing knowledge, taking photos and generally putting the world to rights. We try and do this at least every couple of months but the last time was Christmas so we’ve got a lot to catch up on. This gorgeous picnic basket is from @joulesclothing last year and it’s definitely the start of picnic season #ukexplore
Where did the sun go? Back in boots again today to keep the feet warm after being cold yesterday. Rookie error not checking the forecast before heading out! Loving these gorgeous beach huts beneath a wonderful blue sky from the weekend. Have a great Tuesday everyone.
Feels weird to think my first baby will be In juniors come September and we will have another baby in tow too. I have been excited at every twinge the baby makes thinking he is finally coming even though it’s early I had my daughter this early so it’s the waiting game. I keep trying to imagine what life will be like with three kids in tow. Will I handle it? Of course I will we have to just get on with it but will I be overwhelmed ? Probably but I also know I have this big boy almost seven ready to help me out with his siblings. He keeps reminding me he is a big boy and can’t wait to help out with baby. It’s going to be so different having two kids that can help me with a baby rather than two in diapers at the same time. I am so excited for the next journey with my kids. So would baby arrive already!! #lifecloseup#impatientmama 😂
One from the sunny, warmer day- strawberries and ice cream with my favourite little man. 🍓🍨
A far cry from today which has involved a lot of work and stress, and a baby boy who is completely uncomfortable.
But I'm going to have a night of food and rest with Netflix before another day spent with my boy; making the most of my last couple of month's as a mum of one! 💙
S T I C K S. Yesterday they were light sabres (to be fair, they usually are!) and thankfully no one got injured in this epic battle between Luke Skywalker and Darth Maul (or maybe Chewbacca. I can’t remember!) #latergram from yesterday as today’s been all about work, school & nursery!
I know H looks a bit miserable in this photo but I just love it anyway 😍 Even his miserable face nowadays is so gorgeous compared to when he was a giant-headed, furious, squashed-looking, red-faced massive chunk of a baby 😂 Is it terrible to say your child has aged well?! 🤔🤔🤣🤣 Anyway let's just hope he sleeps better tonight - last night I remember counting that I'd been up seven times by 3am - and then still more after that 🙈😭 Safe to say I've been a walking zombie fuelled by caffeine today! 😂 (📷 - @robmacneice ) #ukpetalwatch
This is the start of bluebell spam! Get your coats on a go hunting for the best bluebell woods near you. Not sure where to go, well luckily for you there’s a little list on my blog I prepared earlier! Link in the bio. Don’t forget to stick to the paths so these pretty things don’t get crushed. 💙
Have you got a favourite spot for bluebells? .
We always love visiting a castle but it’s even more spectacular when the tulips are out. We visited the medieval castle of Arundel in West Sussex this weekend. There is a tulip festival going on at the moment so the gardens were gloriously colourful, with tulips everywhere.
As you can see in this picture, Arundel looks quite similar to Windsor Castle and it’s been used to stand in for Windsor in films like The Young Victoria and The Madness of King George.

I am on day three of being stuck in bed thanks to a hideous cold, which is no fun at all. While I rest up please enjoy the latest post on my blog, all about the delights of Spring at Kew Gardens: bugsandfishes.blogspot.com (there's a clickable link in my profile). If I tried writing this post today I think it would just say "Spring is very nice. Here are some pictures. I am going to go and have a nap now", but luckily I wrote it last week when I was not yet full of germs! I hope you'll enjoy it. I am going to go and have a nap now...
It's just gonna be daffodil spam for now k? 🤣🤣 Such a fab weekend 😊 Had a lovely time at my friend's hen do yesterday then today we took the twiglets swimming and to Maccy D's for a naughty dinner 🙊😁 Swimming isn't something they get to do that often as I can't take them by myself in the week (# twinproblems 🤣) and we don't usually seem to find the time at the weekends, but they loved it. Actually, to be more accurate, they enjoyed splashing about in the shallow end and going down the little slide (over. and. over... 🙄) but hey, at least they liked the water 😂 Hope everyone's had a great weekend and let's hope the weather improves again - been crap today! 😬 #getoutdoorsinapril
