“John Malkovich tests his acting mettle in a new project in which he portrays a number of David Lynch's quirky characters in unique vignettes: Twin Peaks detective Dale Cooper and the Log Lady, Eraserhead's Henry Spencer and the Lady in the Radiator, The Elephant Man's John Merrick, Lost Highway's Mystery Man and Blue Velvet's Frank Booth and Lynch himself.” ~ Rolling Stone
On June 21, in celebration of his new memoir, Room to Dream, Book Soup will be presenting a screening of David Lynch’s original animated series Dumbland in its entirety, followed by David Lynch in conversation with co-author Krisitine McKenna.
David Lynch’s memoir, Room to Dream provides an unprecedented look into the personal and creative life of the visionary auteur David Lynch, through his own words and those of his closest colleagues, friends, and family.
In this unique hybrid of biography and memoir, David Lynch opens up for the first time about a life lived in pursuit of his singular vision, and the many heartaches and struggles he's faced to bring his unorthodox projects to fruition. Lynch's lyrical, intimate, and unfiltered personal reflections riff off biographical sections written by close collaborator Kristine McKenna and based on more than one hundred new interviews with surprisingly candid ex-wives, family members, actors, agents, musicians, and colleagues in various fields who all have their own takes on what happened.
Room to Dream is a landmark book that offers a onetime all-access pass into the life and mind of one of our most enigmatic and utterly original living artists. (Random House) “An excellent and unusual portrait of a one-of-a-kind artist. Essential for Lynch's fans but just as valuable to anyone interested in filmmaking, contemporary art, or the creative process in general.” – Library Journal
Book signing to follow the conversation. David Lynch will be signing copies of Room to Dream only. Limit of 2 copies per person. #booksoup#booksoupevents#davidlynch#twinpeaks

Hawk, electricity is humming. You hear it in the mountains and rivers. You see it dance among the seas and stars and glowing around the moon, but in these days, the glow is dying. What will be in the darkness that remains? ... now the circle is almost compelete. Watch and listen to the dream of time and space. It all comes out now, flowing like a river. That which is and is not. Hawk, Laura is the one. .
Being that today’s the one year anniversary of Twin Peaks: The Return, I figured I would share another project I’ve recently shifted my focus towards, @twin_peaks_unofficial_versions - I’ll still (only) post pure contour drawings on here, but less so for the time being, cause in my heart, I am a filmmaker, amongst other things, and Twin Peaks has consumed my life lol... seriously though, I cannot understate the impact that The Return has had on me as an artist. So, anyways, here’s a tribute to Phillip Jeffries, aka David Bowie in another life / dimension / thing...
