Between being Victoria Day and the Royal Wedding, there’s a few reasons to say cheers! @adam.karpowicz got a little creative with this long weekend bevy. Finally found a use for this edible glitter!!

Brunch time = best time. 🥞🍳 We visited @whitelilydiner to see what the rave was all about. There was a 30 minute wait and it was packed in this cute little place. We ordered the White Lily Standard, Southern Breakfast, and Buttermilk Griddle Cakes (with an extra sausage) and we were impressed with the quality of the items. The only thing is that the portions were not too big so if you have a large appetite, this place might not be for you. We walked out with a nice type of fullness. While it was a great time, we wouldn’t go super out of the way again to visit unless we were in the area. • Price: $$
• Food: 4.25/5
• Atmosphere: 4/5
• Service: 4/5
• Overall: 4/5
Yesterday I had a huge craving for bubble tea. I went to @happylemoncanada and got the Avacado Matcha Latte and my sister ordered the Oreo Milk Tea! If you normally order Avacado milkshake from Vietnamese restaurants, the Avacado Matcha Latte is pretty similar!
They just opened their Scarborough location and you can buy 1, get 1 free for this long weekend! #Toronto
Thank you @happylemoncanada for letting me try your drinks!
When you’re running errands it’s always reassuring to know there’s a great pit stop for a bite to eat….like the original Queen Street location of @terronito . I have fond memories of this place, since I’ve been stopping in almost from opening day, so many years ago. These days, like other trendy Italian-focused restaurants Terroni has added farinata, a chickpea pancake to their offerings (Bar Buca does it, too). Not only do I love this simple crisp, it’s a great option for those of us who are gluten-free. The folks here topped it with a salad of roasted beets, shredded carrots, arugula, watercress and sunflower sprouts. How’s that for a nutritious pick-me-up?
Craft your own ($14.69) basic margarita sauce, mozzarella cheese, basil, tomatoes, and pineapples. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀🍕Nice thin crust and not too doughy. Had the perfect amount of cheese and cooked nicely, barley burnt. Had lots of seating and very open (4.5/5) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀📍Located: 2177 Yonge St, Toronto, ON M4S 2A9
Happy long weekend! My favourite part of the long weekend is sleeping in and then getting brunch.
Saint James is one of the must try brunch spot in Hamilton, and it's open today! With food as tasty as it is instagrammable, this is basically every millenial's brunch dream. My pancakes were so fluffy and doused in just the perfect amount of maple syrup, and the avocado toast also amazing and worth the price.
You can expect to spend about $20 here, and I'd suggest you bring no more than 1 friend here because it is a small space and gets pretty busy. You may have to wait for a table but it's worth the wait!
P.S. If you're looking for what's open and closed on the long weekend, @tastehamont has a list on her insta story!
We hit up Toronto’s @powwowcafeto for some crazy good tacos on Ojibwe style fry bread yesterday and can’t stop thinking about how good they were. We love checking out Indigenous owned businesses when we travel - what are some of your favourites around Canada?
Homey Japanese lunch - my favorite kind of comfort food. 😌 Coincidentally, these two dishes are the first dishes I tried to make as a kid, when I first started cooking. (Of course I never ended up perfecting them but at least got a taste of how difficult they can be to make 😆) Imanishi's pork loin tonkatsu was surprisingly tender, with a Japanese-style, slightly sweet curry. 🍛 What was surprisingly impressive was the omurice - the egg was soft and fluffy, and the fried rice was completely elevated by the sautéed mushroom that were so flavorful! 🍄🍄

Thanks for the reco @wongtaitai & @ngaio10 ! 😋
BC spot prawns in Toronto. Lucky to have these little babies. All lined up like soldiers ready to be eaten for our VIP lunch the other day
Simply poached and peeled served in a spring vegetable salad inspired by Michel Bras. Was too busy to get a pic of the salad 😥
Gotta say though being newer to this city, first time trying them here and being from Vancouver they do taste better in Vancouver. Must be the shipping process for us to receive them
