I officially live in “Coyote Village.” I see one basically every morning now. People ask me if I get scared and the answer is yes. Even though they’re harmless for the most part & ignore us, it’s always a little nerve wrecking seeing a big wild animal out in the middle of nowhere. I always put my hand on my mace when I see one, just in case. But to be fair, I also put my hand on my mace when I see a middle aged white man walking towards me in the middle of nowhere. #coyote#santafelife#womanhood
Sometimes the right path is not the easiest. Ive never been one to take the easy route. So far the steeper route has always been worth the view. We don’t grow when things are easy. We grow when we’re forced to overcome challenges. #hiking#easyroute#santafelife#worththeview
Mónica and I attended a beautiful “Welcome Party for the baby’s soul - 120th day of pregnancy” for our friends Alma and Alexis this past weekend.
At the gathering I presented a flute improvisation through Aguila (eagle), my beloved Colombian rainforest native flute. Our friend Peter captured most of Aguila’s expression on video. Enjoy!
Early morning exploration. Wasn’t expecting to “trail run” until a coyote chased us down about 20 minutes after I took this. I’m pretty used to seeing coyotes in California, but this guy was different. Stopped as soon as I saw him to let him pass so we could continue on. We made eye contact, he growled and charged us. We darted. Fast. I knew he most likely wouldn’t hurt me but my concern was keeping Duke safe. Another beautiful morning in Mother Nature! #mothernature#morningwalk#coyoteencounter#hewasntnice#trailrunning#santafelife
The patio is under construction so we're sitting at the bar today! A bunch of flight trays flying around, and lunch on the way. We worked up a thirst and a hunger at Bandelier National Monument this morning! #santafe#nmbeer#newmexico#brewpub
