Guilty of being possessed by ideas. Well that is the side effect of reading a lot. Even if you aren't always gullible and the ideas may be fantastic or really eye opening. But gathering information is one thing and it gaining a deep meaning is a completely different thing. You can fall in love with an idea but until you have lived by it, you have no idea of what it truly means. People get possessed with beliefs, thoughts and ideas all the time. They can talk about it glibly and charmingly to others without truly knowing anything. Sometimes if the person is engaging enough, they will find enough gullible people around to buy their talks. And the funny part is they can see others as being hypocritical but can't see it in themselves. May be what can help bring balance is just experiencing things, discerning through what you sense of the world instead of relying only on dogmas. And if some idea has really captivated you, try to live it, experiment with it and see how it works before passing it on. When you see people living what they keep advertising, your respect for them grows (organically). There need not be much fanfare or sentimental drama around what they are selling. I think it is a hard thing to do, mainly because of how deceptive ideas and their proponents can be. You may not follow the exact same idea or thought or lifestyle that they follow but they inspire you to live authentically and be a little brave to experience instead of hoarding info and collecting good quotes that temporarily catch your attention.

History (4by3ft) I’m going to take a guess that the reason Jesus (and others) “made a rule” to Love Others, is not because it comes easy... but because it’s hard... it takes effort (labour of love)... because probably our natural inclination is to be self absorbed and also exceptionally critical of others....anyone, even children do not feel it is right to have to be loving and kind to those that are not loving and kind to them....thus the “rule”... of coarse it’s very obvious people don’t actually succeed at this calling....but hopefully some attempt..... it’s quite a thing to think perhaps that you are a good and loving person.... but what do you actually do for anyone other than yourself? Other than your own chosen few? Other than your spouse? Loving people really isn’t a feeling .... it really is a choice and an action.... I personally have a lot further to grow in this department, but I just find the irony, that most everyone on the planet would probably confess to trying to adhere to this concept of loving... but are these people even kind? Are they helpful? Am I even? The other day I was criticized in a very real way, and I’m still digesting it...we have to wonder, if we can’t be Loving, perhaps we could refrain from being hurtful and mean? it’s easy to say that people should love themselves and take no responsibility for the feelings of others, except that isn’t how people function... we are social beings and we were designed that way. #art#life#sense#nosense#order#noorder
