In Japan the phase one V6 road cars were sold officially as a Renault Lutecia V6 as the Clio brand name is owned by another at manufacturer in Japan. The cars built specifically for the Japanese market had Lutecia rear badges and plaques made up that said Lutecia - but, they were not numbered. All Lutecia phase one cars have very low chassis numbers (even lower than preproduction cars) - but were all built towards the later end of the production run so all had the ph2 silver bootlock and a silver handbrake button. A number of European market Clio V6 cars also made it to Japan via Import, so you do see both model names there. As ever, the story regarding the plaques is different for the Japanese phase 2 cars, which I will save for another post another day. #cliov6#renaultcliov6#renaultsport#luteciav6#v6clio#plaquenumbers#rarecars#frenchbred#jdm
