Statues of Ramses the great at Abu Simbel.
I love these statues. Abu Simbel is a major site. It's the one they saved from flooding. They cut these statues and moved each block. There is an image of these statues that you probably saw on social medias, and it is written "before the noses were shot off"... It went viral at some point. But the truth is that these noses have never been smashed off. And it is really amazing to see how the king decided to be remembered in history. Because this is Ramses the great, the most popular king of Kemet and he chosed this appearance of an obviously black man. I feel like the only reason it sounds crazy for most people is because we have been conditionned to believe that the African features were inferior, not beautiful, not attractive. But to the ancients people, these features were the original features. Those of the creator. So, it could not be questionned. It was beautiful to be depicted as an African. All the people of the world copied the African style at a moment of their existence.
So, It's important for us today to learn to understand that language that we lost because of the racist propaganda. Because the same way people can be taught to hate something they loved, people can also be taught to love something they have been taught to hate. It's all about learning to understand a language. Yes, language, because to me it's just a language that we lost, but it's still understandable. Sometimes we think that we are not concerned but we all have a side that is affected in the way we act everyday in our behaviors. That's why one must follow the path of our true selves, embrace genuinely our true beauty and stop trying to be those we are not.

Il 25 Aprile bisognava passarlo nel migliore dei modi, dopo una settimana piena di cose da fare. Abbiamo deciso di trascorrere questa giornata al Museo Egizio a Torino, una meraviglia mai vista prima! Vi lascio solo questa foto per il momento (le vedrete tutte, promesso). ♥️⚱️⚰️🕵️
Esse segundo volume da série "Ramsés", além de apresentar os pontos que mencionei no post sobre o volume um, irá trazer alguns pontos novos, como por exemplo os rituais de coroação do Faraó e sua Rainha, além de todo o processo que se inicia na criação de templos majestosos para garantir um pós vida e o poder que possui a figura máxima do Egito, o Faraó.
Além disso, temos agora o aparição de um Moisés que começa a sentir-se inquieto com a religião existente no Egito e começa a formar, com influência de outro, o pensamento de uma religião com um único deus. Passamos a ver um conflito que começa a tomar forma entre o Faraó do Baixo e Alto Egito e Moisés, uma figura bíblica que terá importância nesse cenário que começa a surgir uma nova religião.
O livro é incrível. A leitura flui facilmente, uma escrita adorável. É muito gostoso observar aspectos dessa civilização tão fascinante e que me é tão majestosa 🤗 Certamente atribuí ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ no Skoob, porém, não está na lista de favoritos.
Lembrando que o Christian Jacq, autor da série, é egiptólogo e por mais que se trate de um romance, a obra apresenta questões que se aproximam, podendo chegar a ser "igual", ao que relatam fontes históricas sobre a civilização egípcia.
