There’s a problem with envisioning your goals as a strait line leading where you want it to go. Next time you visualize where you want to be, be sure to account for all the switchbacks, dead-ends, and all the time you spend wandering around lost.
I unintentionally think about places like they’re friends. Some have quirks and challenges, obstinate and strong. Some are wholesome, some are kind. I’ve never felt it’s fair to tick a box on a location, as if there isn’t more to know. Just like with any friendship, I look forward to visiting my favorite places again and again, learning more, going deeper. Missing you particularly hard right now, Patagonia.
Pololū Trail is one of my favorite trails by far. The valley has a wide range of plant life. From green cliffs ending at the ocean, waterfalls falling into the sea, black sand beach, and tall green forest. I give many thanks to my love ❤️@louelladumond❤️ for bringing me to the Big Island 🌴
Today is my last day in Sequim and I’ll be spending it drinking coffee at my favorite coffee shop and getting my teeth drilled at the dentist. It’s been real, Sequim. Thanks for letting me come home for a bit.
Day 3. The longest day in terms of distance but also the most scenic. Started with a little uphill to Runkurakay Pass and made our offering to Pachamama. We hiked in the cloud forest to the ruins of Sayaqmarka, Phuyupatamarca, and Winaywayna. There were mountains touching the sky, clouds dancing in the air, waterfalls cascading to the valley floor. The views were absolutely stunning. #incatrail#peru#optoutside#pachamama

Tasman Valley Road
It’s hard to tell in the picture just how furious the wind was this day driving up to the Tasman Glacier. The pack of clouds on the left enveloped Aoraki, who was completely clear moments before, and brought with it a bitter chill that served a proper warning to come back another day.
