Everyone is getting these tight, up close, in flight shots. I can't compete with that. On that note...I love my camera and I am learning its limitations but I am also learning that's it not always about the most epic shot. But the beauty within as a whole. ♡ Photography is art ♡
Day 141 -
the ability to say "i could see how you could believe that, & it’s okay for you to believe that. that’s not what i believe, but that’s okay too."
senior year in high school me & @vp36 were sitting in class talking with another classmate & they said that they didn’t believe in God. i said “what!?” & turned my nose up it them, like “are you sane right now?” Vin looked at me & said “we can’t come off like that towards people. that only pushes people away, & that not how we want to make them feel.”
it’s not anyone’s job to change another’s beliefs, nor should anyone shun another for believing something different.
instead, by an individual being firm in their beliefs & living a positive life, their life will automatically inspire another to redirect themselves onto a more positive path.
there are 82 different religions in the world, & 21 different Holy Text. find 1 that fits for you, compliments you, & brings you peace.
& with Peace, you’ll become too noble to have any controlling tendencies.
The discovery of Claire McKenna, particularly through writing and filming the project, has been one of growing love, affection, and pain. In spending contemplative time parsing the memories and experiences I have had with addiction- among friends, family, and chance encounters- I could not avoid being deeply plunged into the sorrow, isolation, and shame that lies in the depths of these sufferers and those who suffer because of their addictions. At the same time, discovering Claire was a process of discovering an incredible and admirable strength- even a nobility, that arises from the aggressive honesty and self-acceptance that sober addicts have often modeled. Through this film, a short encounter with Claire McKenna, audiences will have an opportunity to see all of that at play and to see a portrait of a modern heroin addict whose plight is often vaguely discussed in the news cycles of 2010's America.
