Today was one of those days in the gym where absolutely nothing was on my mind other than training. I haven’t been able to say that for a while. After moving, changing jobs, and other stresses (not saying my life is stressful). It’s sessions like these that truly remind me why I love fitness and lifting. I decided to switch up my split and moved DL/back/biceps to Monday before my quad focused leg day. It was the right decision and had an awesome Monday workout! •••
I’ve been pretty busy with work and so has my BF, but I still make it a priority to get in my workouts. Typically I spend only an hour at the gym, which is a fraction of the day. It’s important to me so I make it work ☺️

While I don’t miss my workout, sometimes I forget to post. 🤦🏼♀️. And we all know if I don’t post it, it didn’t happen. 🤣😂🤣. So, today serves as double duty! 👍🏻
We are still powering through the first week of #hammerandchisel . Since we adjusted our schedule to have Sunday as our #restday today was actually day 6. Sometimes you have to adjust your workouts to fit your schedule. That also will make you more likely to stick to it.
Yesterday we worked isometrics again with 3 count moves followed by fast reps to really burn out. Today we worked Endurance. You’ll see something oddly familiar on today’s portion of the video...resistance loops. It’s not that I don’t think this program is challenging enough. That’s not it at all!! What it is, is knowing that I’m stronger now and the loops provide an additional challenge. So for some moves, I added the loops. I’ll probably take some liberties with loops and weights at appropriate times throughout this program. I’ve already completed it once so now I’ll challenge myself in new ways.
Your workouts should be challenging, that’s where the change happens! They should also be enjoyable. If you are always dreading them, you won’t stick to them.
Workout because you LOVE your body! NOT because you hate it. Celebrate all it CAN do. Live outside your comfort zone because that’s where the magic happens!!😘
