We went to Logan eco action festival #leaf2018 today and it was as informative as ever. I got to learn a little about adapting a pushbike into an e-bike from substation33 who are in Kingston. Also got a couple of free native plants. Listened to #costa talk about fumigated seeds along with the recent change to recycling in Australia and how #ipswichhub Fought back against there council turning there recycling into landfill. Estelle loved seeing the #marinelife . I spoke to a lady about #microgreens and picked up a couple of tips there from @logan_food_gardeners. Was a great #free day out with the family. #logan#seashepherd#gardeners#plants #
After a few dry days I'm back where I belong, in the ocean! During our dive we ran into this cutie. A lovely nudibranch. Don't ask me which species exactly because there are literally thousands of them and they're all amazing little pokemon underwater slugs.
Zoom in to see micro plastics pulled from the Puget Sound!! 😱 by Julie Masura, Environmental Science research scientist @ UWT. Link in bio for more information!
These little plastics end up inside marine life.
In the long run these can also end up inside our stomachs!! 😳 Wanna help make a change? You can start by using less plastic in your everyday routine. Let’s save our planet!!
