Lemon Balm #melissaofficinalis Elixir -
Elixirs are generally made with a mix of alcohol and honey. Aromatic plants like mint, lemon balm, rose petals and pine make delicious elixirs. This was made with the fresh growth of Lemon Balm, organic grape alcohol and local honey. The color, scent and taste is already pretty spectacular. Cooling Lemon Balm is a favorite usually combined with Rose to gladden the heart. Or with Motherwort for a bitter digestive if there’s an anxious belly. And any old day cause it’s yummy 🌿
Emotional roller coaster ride kind of day!needed to find my happy place as I wind down for the night aaand get rid of two pimples😔. Soooo trying something new...Young living lavender and local honey facial. ***Honey is known to dehydrate impurities and bacteria from infections (I use on a open wound on my knee last week, I thought I needed to visit Dr for antibiotics. tried honey as a last resort, it actually worked!!)#youngliving#pamperthyself#localhoney#sweetestthingsinlife

Backyard shenanigans with mid-afternoon smoothies. Healthy alternative with strawberries, banana, water, ice, honey, honey pollen, and spinach. They didn't even recognize the spinach & loved every sip! #homemade#localhoney#naturalallergyrelief
The bees seem to be happy! This is a frame we pulled out while inspecting hives last week. Top and left, capped honey 🍯! Bottom and more right, brood! (Aka, baby bees nearly ready to hatch!) 🐝
Poor Maia has had a terrible cough for almost 3 weeks now... (she has been vaccinated against Kennel cough).. the vet confirmed it was nothing to worry about, but could last a few months! ANYWAY... 1 tbsp of local honey mixed in with her dinner last night and she hasn't coughed since!! 👌🐶 Feeling smug... but also a bit stupid for not thinking of it before. 😂
I have been looking forward to the #tastetrail18 and #tasteharborough on the square events for weeks, and one of the main reasons was finally getting to and try the gelato from @gandersgoat and wow the flavours were incredible ❤️ all made with goats milk and free range chicken eggs from their farm and then blended with extra flavours.
We tried the rhubarb and honey, raspberry ripple and then went back and got some gooseberry and elderflower. All the flavours are amazing and taste so naturally creamy. The rhubarb and honey uses their own grown rhubarb with honey from their own bees, what blew me away was how well you could taste rhubarb and honey in the gelato. I cannot praise them enough, we absolutely loved their gelato and I'm looking forward to coming and buying some tubs from the farm soon 😊
Husband @angryyorkshireman3 took me out (with Molly) for some fresh air and ended up at Oliver mount’s cafe for some cakes. They were also selling this local honey and we got a jar, has we have run out, by David Hanson at Yorkshire Honey! 😀🍯 #localhoney#honey#localhoneyisthebest#yorkshirehoney
