9 years of sleepless nights, hours of edits, arguments with crew members and teachers, hours on set, and hundreds of script pages, I finally get my Bachelors degree in Film, Television, and Media Studies. I made it my goal to graduate my degree with honors for my hard working parents who sacrificed everything for my sisters and I to get a better education and make something for ourselves. Everything I do is for them, my sisters, my nephews, my family in Nicaragua and Guatemala, and for all the loves ones I lost through the past 26 years. I’m thankful to have met amazingly talented filmmakers like @magicgonzo and @zlvjohanna, work more with my former Mounties like @itskrystmindset, and gain knowledge from amazingly talented professors like Alan Bloom. I’m one blessed woman and I can’t wait to show Hollywood what they’ve been missing 😎🎓📜🎥 #filmgraduate#lgbtgraduate#calstatelagrad#calstatelaalumni#calstatelaartsandletters#losangeles#womeninfilm#latinagraduate#family#bachelorsdegree#filmmaker
“Sometimes I feel like my only friend is the city I live in, the city of angels…”
Last Wednesday, Baron Banner took its first field trip to the offices and printing center of the Los Angeles Times! This was such an enriching, eye-opening, and all-around awesome experience to see what goes behind the scenes of one of the nation’s biggest news publications. Inspiring us to do more in class.
