🌸🌸Tokyo Dreaming 🌸🌸
- Brogdale Collections, Kent.
Beautiful Saturday at the Brogdale Collections Farm in Faversham. If you missed it (or havent heard of it maybe pop it in the diary for next year)- The Hanami Festival (which translates as 'flower viewing' is celebrated annually in Japan, pretty paper lanterns are often strung to trees, and people picnic under the blossoms to appreciate the blossoms during their short blooming season. Brogdale Farm houses over 350 blossoming fruit trees and put on the full works today for its (small but lovely) festival of celebration- Japanese cultural displays, food, interactive events such as calligraphy and of course the opportunity to bask in those dreamy blossoms. This was one of only two photos I took before my phone died and the other was out of focus 😂 so I can't even offer any of the lovely colourful paper lanterns but what can you do! I'm rubbish at packing a picnic too- my attempt was one drink between both of us, strawberries, crisps and a share size packet of milky bar buttons (didn't share them), it's tough being so highbrow all the time it really is. .
A chunk of today was spent warning people away from bees which of course meant that I also got a bee stuck in my top and very nearly whipped it off in front of loads of people...while at work. Thankfully a lovely visitor fished it out before it got me!
