Whenever I see someone post a photo of their child eating an ice cream, this is what I see... I used to give Shayne ice cream, and I was a huge fan myself (Peanut Butter Fudge Crunch was my absolute faaave). I didn’t know babies were taken from their mothers to live alone in small hutches, yearning for their moms & the milk meant for them... I had never seen a calf suckle on the hand of a farmer, activist, or slaughterhouse worker seeking comfort... I had never heard the cries of a Mother cow whose had her newborn stolen from her... But I’ve seen & I’ve heard now. I’ve cried for them, out of guilt, shame, and frustration... You don’t have to give up ice cream (I haven’t!) but please choose vegan. If you are in my area, you can get vegan chocolate ice cream cones @ Kredls, and Goji’s usually has a few vegan froyo options as well - and of course, you can always get Tofutti or Ben & Jerry’s vegan options at the grocery store. & Lucky for me, @minimalistbaker has a Peanut Butter Fudge Swirl ice cream recipe to try out this summer 😍 .
The world is changing ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻 equality all dietary options are becoming globally accepted the divine @jamesaspey has just posted this list of recent major food & grocery chain stores hanging it up #govegan#jamesaspey#eyreimports
Ermahgerd…. What are the worst excuses you have heard not to go vegan?!
What can we say about this amazing earthling that hasn’t already been said?
@jamesaspey is the type of guy that goes all in on something when he truly believes in it.
He took a 1 year vow of silence to raise awareness for the most innocent and vulnerable beings on this planet. He rode his bike across Australia because he wanted to break the “vegans are weak” stereotype.
He has gone from a personal trainer helping people with their fitness to being one of the most influential animal rights activists the world has ever known.
James works tirelessly for the animals by flying all over the world giving FREE lectures and can always be found doing vegan outreach helping pre-vegans connect to their own moral compass.
He is an absolute legend and an inspiration for all animal rights activists out there.
Hats off to you sir.
Animal activist and inspiration James Aspey really does have a good point! Why am I considered extreme because I don’t want to hurt animals? It baffles me and saddens me so much that this is how the world is 😔 #veganfortheanimals#vegan#jamesaspey
RP @jaimefazackerley - “Actions Speak Louder Than Words” animal rights workshop with key speaker @jamesaspey. When I became involved in the animal rights movement in Perth I never expected to be met with such open arms, support and encouragement. It inspired me to utilise my experience with events, photography and marketing to get everyone together to share their knowledge and experience. Thank you to everybody who helped on the night, all the speakers and those who attended. Thanks to James for continuing to inspire and motivate others to do more for the animals and for animal sanctuaries.

Until I was 26 years old, I didn’t care about or like animals. Then I went vegan and I cared about them a lot, because I realised I‘d viewed them wrong all along and in fact, they live, breathe and feel just like us. Still, I didn’t care to be around them.
I fought hard for them every day to help people see them the way vegans do - equally deserving of their right to live. It took a while, but over time I started enjoying being around them more.
These days, spending time with these gentle souls brings me so much peace and I have so much love and admiration for them! I have changed so much and I’m so grateful for that. I’ve opened a part of my heart that was totally closed and I’ve invited them all in.
At times it hurts, because they are treated so badly by the human species and they suffer more than we could ever imagine. On the other hand, the act of extending your circle of compassion to embrace all beings is truly life transforming.
When you finally see them for who they are, you can never go back to that old mentality of thinking that their lives belong to us to do with them as we please, even if that means killing them.
Our ability to dominate, control and take their lives does not mean that we should. I know that now and I’m so sorry to all the animals who suffered because of me due to my actions before I knew better.
Change might seem daunting, but you can do it! I know because I did it! Don’t focus on the whole task, just start by making small changes that you can handle, and keep moving forward until you’re there.
Don’t let the size of the mountain discourage you from starting the hike. You’re going to love the hike! And when you get to the top the view is so unbelievably beautiful!
It all starts with a single step. Tell me, what step can you take today? ✌🏽
Outside of a relatively small slaughterhouse -- killing around 400 cows per day. I saw multiple trucks filled with cows awaiting their fate. They would poke their heads out and look at us, as if they wanted us to save them. It was one of the most heartbreaking experiences. I was so close to them, yet couldn't save them.💔
I could see a chute where discarded body parts were pouring out -- consisting of heads, guts, fluids and even calves; as this slaughterhouse is mainly used for spent dairy cows. Sometimes the cows are still pregnant when sent to be slaughtered.
It's interesting that some people have the belief that something humane can happen in these places. For those who do hold that belief, I challenge you to visit your local slaughterhouse; I guarantee it will not make you hungry. Make the connection.🌱
"Check out the big brain on Brad..." In 1994, when Pulp Fiction was released, the world population was about 5.6 billion. Today there are almost 2 billion more of us on the planet. It takes 450 years for one single use plastic water bottle to decompose. #thingsthatmakeyougohmmm
I started this page one year ago today. This was the first video I shared and listening to it now I am cringing. I wasn’t going to share it again today but I wanted to show everyone that it doesn’t matter where you start on your activism journey because we all have to start somewhere. I feel like I have come such a long way and have learned and grown so much in one year. I still have so much to learn and so much to do and I am always working on being a better activist, even though I am still only 10 now.😂
Don’t worry about how to get out there and use your voice, just do it! One year ago I was just learning how to use my voice for the animals and in just two days I am giving my first lecture to children who are 2 years older than me. Wow. I am so excited to have the opportunity to speak to my generation.. the generation of hope. The generation who WILL end animal exploitation✊
if you don’t know this guy 👉 @jamesaspey .. you should😉
Houston, we have a problem... It's not uncommon for memes, photos and content to be posted by those who didn't create them. But I think this takes the cake... A fella from NY called Joe Serpico has not only taken an entire post from James Aspey and posted it as his own, he's actually photoshopped himself into the photo (and done an incredibly piss poor job of it too). This person has barely 300 likes on his FB page but has somehow amassed nearly 180k on IG. And if that wasn't bad enough, he has not only stolen content from other activists in the past, he has reportedly used someone else's Patreon account information as his own, word for word.
And anyone who comments outing him on his FB or IG pages is deleted and blocked almost instantly.
This is highly unethical behaviour. Serpico is clearly using the work of other activists to try and make a profit for himself. His actions make it incredibly difficult for other activists to fundraise or engage with the community, as we become viewed with suspicion by those who don't know us. Frauds like Serpico are damaging the reputation and the integrity of the animal rights movement and need to be outed.
What may seem like a harmless lil weird guy doing it for the likes is in fact far more problematic than initially appears.
The first thing the guy I'm talking to in the photo said when he walked up was "I love eating meat..." But based on his reactions to the footage he had just seen for the first time, I could tell he had never given much thought about who he was eating before.
At the end of the conversation he was asking for more info and said he's going to sign up for challenge22. His friend that was with him said he wanted to try it, too! They actually asked for a couple extra cards that they could give to people they know as well, and thanked us for what we were doing as they left🌱🖤

*No blood or killing*
When you buy animal products you are paying someone else to kill animals like these 3 babies for you. In court, that would make you equally responsible for the killing.
So imagine if you were the one who had to take the knife and plunge into into their bodies, or hold the electrocuting device in place on either side of their skull, or lock them inside the chamber then turn the gas on.
It would be hard, at best. Most of us couldn’t even do it and if there was another option we’d much prefer to just eat something else.
Good news! There is another option, and we can eat something else. We’ll likely live longer, healthier lives because of it, getting adequate protein, iron, and everything necessary for optimal health.
Imagine every time you buy, they die. Leave animal products on the shelves and choose the plant based alternative. Milks, cheeses, ice cream, chocolate, meats, breads, pastas, butter, there’s a vegan version of just about everything at the same store many of us already shop at!
Make the switch starting today and reap the benefits for the rest of your life! The way we terrorise animals needs to stop. They’ll be no peace here while their blood is on our hands (and in our stomachs). Join @_challenge22_ for tips! ✌🏽 #challenge22#vegan#plantbased#saynotodairy#vgang#jamesaspey#nocruelty
Tonight was one of the most positive cube experiences I've had so far! People were emotional and receptive AF. I only had one or two conversations that didn't lead to someone wanting to go vegan; but seeds were still planted. Many people were thanking us and complimenting us as they left. Also, many vegans happened to walk by and wanted to get involved!
Honestly, I'm completely exhausted, because I've been working nonstop and travelling to attend activism events on all of my days off, and on some of the days that I've worked as well (like today); but it's all worth it! Animals are worth it. No matter how drained I am, it's nothing compared to what animals experience every single day. There are so many different methods of activism to get involved in and zero excuses. If we want animal exploitation to end, then we need to fight for that change 🌱
@joeserpico needs to take this post down. He cropped @jamesaspey out of it and photoshopped himself into it.
This movement does not need people out for self-gain in it. It does not need people who are comfortably, conveniently willing to steal the credit of others who have personally gone to places of horror and bore witness to it, who live with the effects of seeing such horror (PTSD, nightmares), and then sleep comfortably at night.
I hope that you will also give him a piece of your mind about this. This is shameful, it is pathetic, and besides, Joe, you look like a frog on this picture. 🐸 It's a sad parody of the original post.
Thank you @laurrenlock for bringing this to light.
BTW he already blocked me. Go figure. You are a parasite to this movement.
Most people don't understand this SIMPLE concept. We don't need animals to be healthy. In fact you can be HEALTHIER on a vegan diet! We kill animals for pleasure. You don't even have taste buds for animal flesh so we cover our meat with plants to make it taste good.... Why not just skip the dead flesh and just eat the plants ? #veganhealseverything#plantbased#jamesaspey#vegan#ispeakforthosewhocant
